The gods looked down on their creations with contempt. Their eyebrows were raised, their mouths curved into snarls. They were watching history repeat itself; they wanted to scream, they wanted to lash out, they wanted to be gods. They had thought their ploy to ensure peace was indestructible, they had thought themselves intelligent and their creatures predictable. Yet, there they were, sharpening their swords and skills; ready to take the lives of strangers for a cause they did not comprehend.
