Not An Ordinary Love Song

Chapter three : God's Ark

Ariana rushed to the office. Eventhough she informed Tina she will be late, Tina just couldn't wait any longer. She sent emergency request to Ariana. She asked her to come to the office ASAP.

Ariana took a quick wash, grab her hat and hoodie before rushing to the office. In a second after she reached the office Tina come.

"To my office, Ariana," she said.

Ariana followed her. Now what?

"Have you send me the proposal? the model profile?" Tina asked, she looked at Ariana and shocked. She opened her hat, "what happen to your hair?"

"It's due this afternoon," Ariana answered calmly. "And.. "

"Okay, never mind," Tina said--Ariana sulked. "Now forget it. I have this sudden request from this agency--Island Records--one of their band will held World Tour concert, they want us to provide their costumes in this concert. 17 songs on the set list, three concepts, for four band members and 30 crews."

Ariana inhaled. What the hell is this? She almost finished the proposals and almost sign a deal with a big celebrity. Now there would be another job inline with this? How could she...

"So," she continue. Her voice full of excitement--which is scared Ariana. "you don't have to finish those proposals. I asked Mr. Ray--the CEO to sign those artist to be our Brand Ambassador. And he agreed," her voice now voluming up to some decible, "NOW YOU, ARIANA, WOULD BE IN CHARGE OF THISE EVENTS!"

This is what Ariana scared the most. The exciting Tina is way scarier than the furious one. She inhaled again, expecting what she hear next.

"you will be in touch with them, talk with them, make sure our product stand out and MAKE SURE THEY DO THEIR JOB FAIRLY! EXPOSURE! PUT OUR LOGO AS BIG AS POSSIBLE ON THE BILLBOARD, TV, ANNOUNCE US ON THE RADIO. TELL THEM WE PAID THEM THAT MUCH, SO SELL EVERYTHING"

Ariana exhaled. Now she's preparing for the worst, "and when is the deadline? I mean, the concert?" she asked.

"In two months," Tina answered.

WHAAATT?

Ariana unconsciously yelled out her thoughts.

"I know, it's crazy," Tina said. "that's why I also nagged him to give us exposure as much. He is my friend, me and him knew two months almost impossible to prepare everything. But then I realise that I have you!"

What does that mean?

"It means we can do it!" Tina continued. "It felt like I won a big lottery. If this doing well, I wouldn't have to be afraid of our sales until the end of the year. They are the stars, everybody knows them!"

"which band is it?" Ariana massaged her nose. Her head is tense.

"God's Ark," Tina handed her a Magazine with them in the cover.

Ariana stares at it, until she realise something...

It was lunch time. Julie fixed Ariana's hair at the rooftop garden after she explained what happen to her hair.

" I have no idea you could be this mess," Julie said while trimming her side. She confused where to start because Ariana had cut them randomly.

" s**t happened," said Ariana, weakly. "it was worse this morning and I panicked."

Julie smiled and fix her hair carefully. She had cut something messier than Ariana's, so this one is piece of cake. "Now tell me the band, the one who held concert"

"she said everyone will know. because of what so called their promotion" Ariana pressed on the last sentence. She handed Julie the magazine.

She can feel Julie start thinking and suddenly...

"God's Ark?" she said. "I think I've heard them somewhere. What song they're singing?"

Eventhough Ariana know someone, she doesn't know anything about the band. Surely, she heard the name somewhere. But that's it. "No idea. Let me check one," Ariana took out her phone, open a music apps, she typed God's Ark.

A set list appeared. She played one, and...

"This song is playing everywhere," said Julie. She brushes off the hair from shoulder cover and comb them. "Everyone in this band is highly booked for a gig. Oh my gosh, this is awesome!"

Ariana shocked to know the truth. So they really are famous. It means she would get the same exposure as person in charge. However, something won't budge inside her. Suddenly she feels nauseous, hyperventilated. The schedule, timeline, contact person and others. OMG. she needs to rearrange everything. And the fact that she knows one of them, where they lived has made her weirdly ambitious, yet anxious.

"Juls, are you done?" she asked Julie. Julie opened the shoulder cover and tidy up Ariana's hair for one last time.

"Yes," she said. "You look better than I though you would be. You can rock this style, Ari"

Ariana look at her reflection with satisfaction. Julie's hand really a miracle. "Well, thanks." she said.

"Now, where we're gonna eat?" Julie folded the cover and cleaned her utensils.

" I am sorry, Juls. something coming up. Or Tina will come after me. Thank you very much! Love you"

Ariana got up, she ran to the lift, leaving Julie who is now shaking her head. "Anytime," she said.

Aston just got off his car to the studio when he met Andrew at parking lot. Andrew handed him a cold coffee, they walked to the lift.

"Today schedule is to make sure all location for our World Tour," Andrew said. "You guys will need to measure your body size again with photoshoot."

"Why?" Aston frowned. The designer usually had their body measurement and photo.

"Kim just deal with new sponsor, different brand," Andrew explained. "I think he wants us to promote and cooperate with younger squads. And I've already seen their portfolio. Turned out good. It's Brand D"

Whoa, Aston excited. Brand D is new entry luxurious, it would be an honor to work with them. "when will the photoshoot?" he asked Andrew while walking to the studio.

"We'll see," he answered. "I'll talk to you later."

Andrew left as Aston come inside the studio. His friends were there, they are deciding the setlist while eating snacks.

"How's the girl?" Luca asked.

"Why do you want to know, coward?" Ali pinched Luca's waist. "He safe, she safe, that's enough. Now I guess I'm gonna need to hit the gym to stay in shape. Last show was no joke. I felt like my body was torn."

"Yeah, and the photoshoot," Henry sighed. "They could use our last picture, couldn't they?"

"Mr. Kim is really something. He said he wanted to help his friend, so yeah... " Ali didn't finished his words, turn into another conversation instead. "why do you want to know Ariana? Our stylist friend?"

"I'm not sure which Ariana you talked about," said Aston. "But that girl named Ariana."

"Which girl?" Ali asked.

"the girl from last night!"

"Oh my god!" all of them shocked.

"You, wait," said Luca. "this world is so small. you'll find out soon if we talk about the same girl"

"Mr Kim said we are expecting to see someone in a minute," said Andrew, he closed his phone flaps.

"I'm not surprise anymore," said Luca. "who will come?"

The door was knocked from outside. Andrew opened it. Someone's coming and everyone gasps.
