The twins are more focused in today’s lesson, which is a good thing because I’m way more distracted than I should be. I keep thinking about Finn and the proposal and Maxon. I haven’t made any decisions, but I still feel like I’m hurtling toward the finish line.
Whether I want to be or not.
“Okay,” I call to the twins at last. They’re circling their ponies at the other end of the arena and doing a great job of listening and being careful. “Let’s bring them to the center and you can tell me what your favorite parts of today were.”
Smiles stretch across their faces. They always love this part—so do I. It puts the emphasis on the positive, and right now, I feel like I could use that even more than they could.
“What was your favorite part today?” I ask Bridget,
