“Nice to see you finally awake, Ms. Hawthorne.” Ealdorman Amos exhaled sitting in a chair next to the bed in the dark. She screamed as she grabbed the cover and quickly sat up in bed. “Why are you here?” “You’re late!’’ he paused. “ We have so many things to go through and you are late!” he stood up and moved away from the bed. “You can’t be in here!” she grabbed a pillow and gripped it tightly against her chest. “This is absurd.” “This isn’t absurd, you are late, that is absurd.” He raised his voice while rolling his eyes. He leaned on his long staff with both hands swaying. “I was let in by your page at the door.” He pointed his boney finger to the door as a young blonde girl quickly closed it on the other side. “I didn’t know I had to do something today.” still clutching the pillow she looked around the room realizing Raiden wasn’t there. “He isn’t late, I’m sure. Get dressed, I will be outside the door, do not make me wait too long.” He made his way to the door and banged his staff down twice on the floor for it to open. She quickly dressed and stomped her foot twice on the ice-covered floor. The double doors opened wide as she saw the two guardsmen outside. “Ealdorman Amos, where are we going?” she quickly made it to the side of the grump she dreaded working with. “About time, Ms. Hawthorne. We are headed to the Keepers Ward.” He started walking down the hallway grabbing up his robes every few steps. “Keepers Ward?” she questioned looking at him a bit concerned, she thought she had seen every room in that beautiful underground Kingdom. “Yes, the Keepers Ward, it’s just this way.” He moved a purple tapestry to the side and opened a hidden door. “The Keepers Ward is a place in the kingdom for children of the realm, some have lost their parents, others were abandoned, and few were left because of birth defects amongst other things.” “Oh my,” she gasped, putting her hand over her mouth as she headed down the narrow hallway following behind the Ealdorman. “The children were hidden behind this passage when the late King Rodan passed. Queen Yolandi didn’t want unwanted children running around while she didn’t have her own beside her. Now, it falls to you as to what you want to see done.” He moved another heavy white tapestry and came to a room full of children and four elderly women tending to them. “Me?” she questioned as she walked through the room looking at the faces of every child. “What was done before Queen Yolandi put them in here?” A young girl with stringy brunette hair ran up to Bridgette and wrapped her arms around her legs. “The children were able to run free amongst the kingdom, everyone would take care of a child, and most would be adopted into families, but they were all taken care of by someone.” he hugged a young boy with short blonde hair, then sent him back to run around with the others. “I would like to do that, Ealdorman Amos. I love children, and I think we should get these little ones as a family.” She grinned as one of the older women walked over smiling. “Ealdorman Amos it’s good to see you, the kids love it when you visit.” A woman with short curly salt and pepper hair smiled as she reached her hand out to shake his. “Ms. Hawthorne, this is Jaqnie Robbins, she is the head of the Keepers Ward. She has been watching the children for 50 years. Before we had to hide them back here, and that one stuck to your leg is Madeline Delupe.” He watched as she detached from her leg and ran over to him. “Hello,” she shook Jaqnie’s hand and squatted down at eye level with the little girl. “Hi, Ms. Madeline, I’m Bridgette. It's nice to meet you.” “Well, children, I think it’s time we take our leave, Ms. Hawthorne and I have a lot of work to do.” Ealdorman Amos smiled and embraced the kids as he made his way to the door. Some of the children whined as the others waved goodbye, it was at that moment, Bridgette knew the tired old Ealdorman wasn’t a grump. He was a kind, generous, and secretly happy older man, what was he hiding? Why did he feel the need to put on a mask? Did everyone else know he was really like this? All these things swirled around her head as she smiled and waved to the many children and headed back down the hallway. “Well, Ms. Bridgette, I agree with finding the children homes and will start the process and ask around,'' Ealdorman said as he started walking toward the majesty’s chambers. He continued to look forward which was odd, he always looked at the floor like the rest of the other Ealdormen. He looked happier and lighter, and a little color came back to his face. “Handsome’’ Bridgette declared as she opened the door to find Raiden sitting in his newly decorated office. “I went to see the children this morning, Ealdorman Amos and I have concluded that they should have families, so he will be asking people.” Bridgette sat at her vanity and began brushing her hair. She heard him coming back into the room as he began to take off his big fur jacket. She caught a glimpse of him through the mirror, his skin glistened in the light, and she couldn’t help but stare. “That’s good, the children need homes and I’m glad you are getting along with that old goat.” Raiden chuckled as he caught her eyeing him, he slowly walked over and wrapped his burling arms around her waist. She blushed as he leaned close to softly kiss her rosy cheek. “He was quite kind and he smiled,” she replied enthused as she slowly spun around face to face with the blue-eyed man she had fallen for. “Really? Well, maybe you can change him.” He smiled wide and stood up as he held out his hand. She placed her hand in his as they made their way to the bed, slowly he unclipped and untied her long, sheer, lavender dress as it slid down her creamy skin and fell to the floor. She took down the bone clip that was holding her curly locks in place as it brushed the nape of her neck. She slowly crawled into bed and lay down. This was the first time she was going to have s*x, she was so in love and was so scared of something going wrong. “Yes, okay, this is happening. Oh my gosh, yes, okay I’m 30 and still a virgin, but it’s not the end of the world. So I spent most of my time waiting for the right one and never having any friends. Wait, does he know? Is he expecting me to be experienced? Oh my, I can’t believe that this is who I’m with, my soulmate, I didn’t think it was possible!” She thought to herself as she watched him take off his pants and blow out the lanterns by the door, leaving all but one on and relaying to the guards outside the door not to disturb them. “Oh, I can’t believe this is happening! I know that technically we are supposed to wait, that's why I’ve been sleeping in the spouse’s quarters but I just can’t wait. She means the world to me and I have her.” He thought as he made his way over to her and got into the bed. He leaned over to brush the hair out of her face as their lips met. Gently kissing her neck and making his way down to her pink n*****s, his wet tongue swirled around them. She took in a deep breath as she slightly arched her back, slowly he kissed her stomach and found his way to her plump v****a as he slowly stroked it with his tongue. Going up and down and gently kissing, he tightened his grip on her porcelain thighs and continued, he looked up and saw her back arched, eyes closed as she moaned in ecstasy. He kissed her thigh and started back up toward her mouth as they kissed passionately. His throbbing c**k slid into her dripping v****a, and they both moaned in complete pleasure.
