“Bridgette, your Queen-to-be, and I are ecstatic to announce that the children from the Keeper’s Ward will finally have loving families! Please, come and adopt a child.” Raiden looked over at Bridgette smiling as she kept her eyes on the children towards the back of the room. She clapped her hands which prompted the crowd to copy, she watched as Jaqnie took the eager children to the grand ballroom so that they could run around as the people started to follow.
Just as the crowd made their way into the ballroom the doors closed abruptly. Sheamus appeared from the shadows, with blue paint across his eyes, shirtless carrying his lucky silver ax.
“Sheamus, what are you doing?” Raiden inquired as his hand immediately shielded Bridgette.
“I’m here for your lovely doll, King of Nothing.” Sheamus smiled showing his missing teeth and narrowing his focus on Bridgette.
“Sheamus, you ox’s ass! You dare come here to propose this bullshit?” Seti grabbed his spear and pointed it at Sheamus standing on the platform.
“Over my dead body!” Screamed out Dr. Hawthrone as he moved in front of Bridgette, tying his hair up.
“Glad to, wait, Jasper is that you?” Sheamus chuckled, putting his hands on his knees. It seemed like his men had come from thin air as they gathered up behind their leader. “Well, you are far from the man that found us down here a year ago, look at you, you’ve gone native. Look at him boys, the old doctor is one of us now.” He continued to vex him looking back and forth between Jasper and his men. “Well, Doc if you want, you can die like one of us!” His voice went stern as he straightened up, opening his arms wide, giving his ax a twirl in his hand, awaiting the fight that he created. He caught a glimpse of Agneta bringing Bridgette through the long purple tapestry into the passageway, with Dr. Dubois following behind. “Don’t worry lovely, I'll be seeing you soon.” He pursed his lips together as she looked back in fear. Seti and Raiden jump down from the platform His ax met Raiden’s sword with a loud sting. Seti connected his spear with one of Sheamus’s henchmen as Coffrey’s hatchet cuts Seti’s forearm. As they struggle they’re soon interrupted by yet another one of Sheamus’s men. Amid the battle with the many men that kept coming from the long hallway, Sheamus, Coffrey, and two of his men left the chaos and escaped to search for Bridgette. Raiden looked to his right and watched Miles slice two men’s throats with a dagger, standing with Dr. Jasper at his back. He thrusted Humkai into the chest of a man and kicked him off of its blade as he looked to the left to catch his uncle getting overpowered by six men sticking their swords through him. Seti screamed and managed to thrust his spear into one man’s head but fell to the rest’s blade. Raiden yelled in horror as anguish washed over him, he sliced down the men surrounding his beloved uncle. He threw down his sword as he cradled Seti’s head, watching in horror the blood pouring out. As he held his hands over his wounds, he began to cry, trying to stop the manic scene that was unfolding in front of him. Miles and Jasper run over, watching in dismay as Seti coughed up blood struggling to breathe, watching Raiden’s tears stream down his blood-splattered face. He wrestled his last breath staring at the ice-covered ceiling, Raiden put his head down and let out a loud roaring cry, he looked back up only to realize Sheamus wasn’t among the dead. His face changed from complete hurt and sadness to utter rage as he slowly placed Seti’s head on the floor, he picked up Humkai, wiped away his tears, and walked out of the room only to start running, Miles and Jasper followed suit.
Sheamus and Coffrey kicked in the majesty’s chambers as they grabbed Bridgette kicking and screaming.
“How dare you grab the queen to be!” Bridgette’s page, Cryasynthium, screamed at the brutish men. She was small in stature, her eyes were large and black. She had a very small, round nose and a protruding chin. The men laughed as Coffrey hit her on the side of her face and she fell to the floor knocked unconscious.
“Don’t touch women!” This was the first time Ajay spoke up as he moved closer to the brutes. They stopped laughing and stared at him.
“Who are you tiny, I do not think to call you a man, what are you?” Sheamus asked as he handed Bridgette to Coffrey, who was more than happy to hold onto the beauty as she struggled to escape. Coffrey was not only Sheamus’s right-hand man but his cousin. He was once a brute, like his younger kin Sheamus but had since gained fat. He wore his hair like his esteemed leader but his was the color of coal and had gained some gray, he had scars on his throat and the tip of his forehead just like Sheamus which leads me to believe they were in the same predicament. He was also missing part of his eyebrow above his left eye.
“Ajay” he replied much more softly than in his earlier outburst. “And you shouldn’t touch a lady.”
“Did I disrespect a lady here?” Sheamus got closer to the boy as he twisted his head looking into his eyes. “These three aren’t ladies! They’re bottom feeders, and I have half a mind to ruin this one for the king of nothing.” He laughed as he pointed to Bridgette.
“She is…” Ajay shifted his shoulders standing up straighter than before.
“Why are you still talking, runt? Another word out of your mouth and I’m going to throw you across the room!” Sheamus bellowed as he stooped to eye level with Ajay. “You’re coming with us, your royal highness!” He laughed as he turned away to grab Bridgette from Coffrey, watching his right-hand man grab Agneta and tie her to a chair, throwing blows as she now has nowhere to go.
Cryasynthium woke and rushed Coffrey, swinging her arms against his back. He slapped her again as she fell to the floor, Sheamus threw Bridgette over his shoulder. Coffrey picked up Cryasythium and headed out of the door leaving the rest of the people behind. They make their way down to the cells where Bridgette came when they first arrived under the ice.
“Coming!” yelled Rance as he was awakened from his nap so abruptly by a sudden sharp knock. He’s quickly pinned behind the door as Sheamus and Coffrey rush inside. They quickly knock him out, grab the keys to open up Shuntha’s cell, and toss Rance outside the door.
“What are you doing here?” Shuntha asked as he quickly stood up from the icy floor.
“Didn’t you hear? We’re on the Ice Queen’s side now!” Sheamus handed Bridgette back to Coffrey as he started to unlock the cell door.
“What do you mean you are on the Ice Queen’s side now?” Shuntha grabbed Sheamus’s hand and stared into his eyes. “Why do you want to be on this side? How are we to trust you?”
“What do you mean, how are you to trust us? We brought the Prince’s soon-to-be wife!” Blurted out Coffrey as he moved closer to the bars.
“Shuntha does not care, you brought her. Shuntha needs more!” He jerked the keys from Sheamus and fell back into the shadows.
“More?! What more do you want? We’re letting you out of this cage. Do you want her?” Coffrey grabbed Cryasythium, who was hiding behind his brutish back.
“We need to hurry, we’re wasting time talking!” Sheamus put his hands out and alabaster face onto the bars as he tried to urge him to trust them, but all Shuntha could do was shake his head and sit back down on the cold ground. Sheamus hit the bars and nodded to Coffrey to lock the large wooden door.
“We need to search for another way out, and you have got to tell us what you need.” He pointed at Shuntha. Coffrey started to search the room looking for a way out.
“It is not Shuntha that will tell you, you must know.”
“Oh, there he goes again!” Coffrey stopped throwing things and moved closer to the cell holding up his knife to the bars. “Sheamus, I told you that he would be a waste, he’s an invalid. We should just kill him!”
“No, he’s our only way to Yolandi, use your head.” Sheamus took the knife from his cousin and threw it on the guard's desk without thinking as they both walked away.
Eyeing the knife, Cryasythium rushed toward the desk and grabbed it. She ran at Coffrey and Sheamus let out a powerful scream. She managed to graze Coffrey’s back, but Sheamus, always prepared, quickly stabbed her in the head. She fell with a loud thud and a piercing yell echoed through the halls as Bridgette watched on in horror.
