Cleo Ava had been living with us for just over a month, and somehow, in that short time, the cottage had started to feel different. Lighter. Warmer. Like it was finally becoming a real home. We had settled into a routine that worked surprisingly well. Eric handled the outdoor chores while Ava and I took care of everything inside.
