The night was still young, and the party was in full swing.
Music pulsed through the room, laughter filled the air, and people crowded the dance floor.
But no one seemed happier than Ava and Eric.
They were completely lost in each other.
Watching them made me smile.
Ava had spent so long dreaming about finding her mate, and now she finally had him. Eric looked just as happy, and seeing my two best friends together made my heart feel lighter.
For once, everything seemed right.
I made my way towards the drinks table and grabbed a can of Mountain Dew.
I had barely taken my first sip when voices behind me caught my attention.
“Well, here she is. The lady of the hour. So, how did it go? Are you going to be the pack’s next Luna?”
