The morning of my birthday dawned beneath a perfect blue sky.
Not a cloud in sight.
The sun was shining brightly, birds were singing, and everything about the morning felt almost too perfect.
Today was the day.
My eighteenth birthday.
The day I’d been waiting for my entire life.

I could barely contain my excitement.
