Chapter 11: Geri
“If you were bored, we could have left.” Geri knew she sounded peevish, but she wasn’t thrilled to see Kiara hugging the most attractive woman in the bar besides Kiara. What was it about Kiara that brought out all her insecurities?
“I wasn’t bored. Okay, maybe a little. But you were having so much fun. I wouldn’t have dreamed of making you leave.”
“Good thing you found a pretty girl to keep you company.” Damn it. That was not like her at all. She wouldn’t be surprised if Kiara left with the other woman. And she couldn’t blame her.
“Not that I owe you an explanation, but that child works with me. She’s my teaching assistant. You’d been ignoring me for the better part of two hours. You didn’t even notice when I left, so don’t go acting like I deserted you.”
