Dad

Danny's POV I rarely talk to my dad but when I do it's never a happy conversation. He sent me a text message demanding that I meet him today. I drive to school dropping off Samantha as usual. We walk separate ways going to class, and it begins. God how I miss teaching. Scanning my eyes across the room, I notice Lila is missing. Noting it down in case something else happened to her. She's always punctual. We continue with the chemistry lesson for today. It went smoothly. Samantha's POV He is amazing. I couldn't pay attention in class, but I'm sure I can get the notes from him later. All I could think about is our time together. My phone started to vibrate constantly. It's from an unknown number, so I decided to ignore all of it. Danny knew I wasn't paying attention, so he kept calling on me. I was feeling embarrassed, so I started to record the lecture and take some notes. This isn't as hard as he makes it out to be. I kept thinking to myself to make this class feel easier. The lesson continued until the very last second. As much as I love him his class stinks. It's not him or the teaching style just the subject. Everyone filed out of the classroom, and he pulled me aside. Talking in a low voice "Do you know where Lila is?" Me: I completely forgot about her. Danny: Can you message her for me? Just want to make sure nothing happened to her. Me: Sure. Did you miss her? Danny: Well she is the only one who participates in class. Me: I meant about... He grabs my mouth with his hands putting enough pressure to make me take a step back. "We can't talk about that here. You know that." Giving me a stern look, I nodded my head before he let me go. I texted Lila. The whole day went by without a peep from her. Maybe she's sick or something. If she's not in class tomorrow, then be worried. For a moment I was calm until someone approached the door to the classroom. He kept himself a few feet away from me as I fixed myself hoping no one saw anything. Thinking about what happened turned me on a bit, and I could feel my myself getting wetter. Lo and behold Gertrude walks in with her nose to the sky. How could she be prideful after the stunts she pulled? I'm sure it wasn't the first time she tried anything on Danny. She looks at me then at her son without acknowledging me; not that I would want her to anyway. "I would tell you why I came but it appears we have a rat in the room." Glaring at me again. Danny gives me those eyes that begged me not to fight back. I exit the door waiting a minute then staying close to the door out of their line of vision. I eavesdropped on the conversation that was about to take place. Danny's POV Mom: Your father is in town. I told him about the filthy w***e you brought to the house. Me: Neither of you can decide who I get to be with. I decide what I want to happen with my life. Mom: Hear both of us out. Stop being stubborn like your father - Me: It sounds like we have the same problem. Mom: *looks at me rudely* And what would that be? Me: You! Dad left then came back more successful than he ever was when he was with you. Your issue is you keep trying to control me! Can't you see that everyone is running away from you? Mom doesn't say anything. There's a moment of silence between us as she digests what I just said. She doesn't like to talk about my father much. They both are cordial with each other to give me the feeling of a father figure in my life. He coming back isn't going to do anything but cause more trouble putting stress onto me. "Can you call off the engagement with Erica?" She takes a deep breath with that disappointing look on her face. "If that's what you want. Fine! I will talk to her and tell her to move on." I thanked her and turned around to grab my belongings heading to my office. "Your father still wants to meet with you. Have you talked to Evan lately?" Hearing his name infuriated me. Samantha's POV Danny let out a low growl when Gretchen mentioned Evan's name. As I thought about my time with him, part of me felt guilty. I had to remind myself that we're not together. "Take the meeting with your father seriously. He has an offer he wants to make to you or Evan. It could change your life." She walked toward the door. I tried dashing into the other hallway making it look like I was trying to open my locker. She walked the direction I ran in telling me in a low voice, "No one likes a rat." My blood began to boil. I couldn't fight back mainly because I was on campus. There's nothing I could have said that would change her mind about me anyway. It's not worth it. My day went on normally- school then work. Immediately, I stepped foot in the club my boss stopped me. "Can I talk to you for a minute?" Confused, I agreed. He pulled me aside asking me if I know anyone by the name of Frank. I shook my head. "Alright go on ahead and warm up the stage." An hour or so passed by in the midst of scanning the room the mysterious man was there again. The one who had whispered something to me. Could that be 'Frank'? He grabbed a seat watching my every move. I worked the poles while signaling the other strippers to come my way. As they came close enough, I asked them if they could take over for me as I danced on the pole furthest away from the mystery man. As I continued to work, I could feel his beady eyes continuously on me. Glancing over, I see him whisper something to the stripper that took over for me. She walked over to me sending his message. "He's requesting you in one of the private rooms. Are you going to be ok?" I nodded my head telling her that if I'm not out of the room in half an hour to get the boss. She couldn't hug me as it would cause a scene and spread panic to some people. She hugged me with her eyes. The man walked toward the private room, where I later joined him.
