I woke up in a panic. My eyes are going to glow. I thought being changed into a wolf was just that? Selene is too cryptic. I wish she’d just get to the point.

“Good morning. Are you okay? What happened? I can hear your heart racing?”

“Selene happened. She said things are going to happen, and my eyes will glow when we mate but you can’t mark me until the full moon.”

“To unlock my full potential.”

“Your full potential? I don’t understand what that means?”

“Me either. But Ash, she told me we have to mate before the full moon.” I hesitated to say. I’m nervous. I’m not even sure I know how to have s*x. I mean I’ve watched porn, but actually doing it is another thing.

“Elina, the full moon is in 11 days.” Okay, panicking even more now. Why couldn’t she tell me this earlier? This doesn’t give me much time to process and get ready.

“Did she tell you anything else?” He looked so concerned and upset. I thought he wanted to mate and mark me? Why does it seem like he doesn’t want to do this? I can feel my heart break a little and I want to cry.

“Just that we are not to trust anyone outside your family. Are you mad?”

“Okay. And no, I’m not mad, I’m just upset. I wasn’t in a rush because I knew you weren’t ready. I wanted to give you time.” His face softened up, and I reached out to touch him. I can now feel my heart swell. He wanted me to be ready? I could not ask for a better person to be by my side.

“Let’s get ready. Maybe my parents know something about this. We can go see if alpha Andrew to talk about taking the omega back with us.”

We made our way up to Alpha Andrew’s office. Hopefully, I can take the omega with me. I couldn’t live with myself knowing that she’s here working like an animal.

“Alpha Ash, Luna Elina.” He said my name slowly that creeped me out. “How can I help you?”

“My Luna came to a liking of one of your omegas, and we were wondering if you would depart from her?”

“Which omega would that be?”

“She said she didn’t have a name, that she just went by omega.” I said, irritated as f**k.

“Oh the orphan. We found her and her brother on the edge of our border. We didn’t know where they came from and there was no one else around, so we took them in. They both said they had no name and smelled like rogues, so we took them in. We offered them to pick their own name, but they didn’t.” Lie! “The girl seemed happy here. I doubt they would want to leave.” Another lie.

“Well, can we bring her in? To ask her?” Ash asked. I assume he knows that he is lying also.

“Of course. Dad, can you bring the girl and boy both up here?”

“Right away, son.”

“She’s excellent at her job. If she wants to go, what do I get in return? I would hate to lose excellent help.” You have got to be kidding me. I have no doubt I believe she will want to leave with us, but to ask for something in return for 2 children is disgusting.

“How about $100k?” If it was anything else, I’d simply complain about the amount of money. But I know it’s for their safety.

“That seems reasonable. I can deal with that. It would help a lot to give the other omegas a raise, since I might be losing two.” Does the only thing this man knows how to do is lie?

“Alpha, you wanted to see us?”

“Yes! Alpha Ash and his Luna would like to take you in and let you join their pack. But it’s completely up to you.” I watched her look at us and then at her brother, but she looked at him up and down. He’s completely covered in dirt and doesn’t look like he’s taken a shower in days. They both look like they haven’t showered in days.

“If they wouldn’t mind taking us in, we’d love to.”

“Great! Both of you go pack your things. Once you reach the boarder, I’ll need you to disconnect from our pack to be able to join alpha Ash’s.”

“Thank you, Alpha Andrew, we will be in touch once we get home to deal with the business.”

“Absolutely, Luna Elina, it was a pleasure meeting you. I thank you both for attending my ceremony.”
