His Not So Human Mate

Ash’s P.O.V.

“I don’t know why we moved Jonah out to the border, he should be in the packhouse with us!” My father said.

“He has wanted a place of his own with his mate since he retired!” I groaned. My father has been checking my moves since I became alpha 5 years ago. He respects them all except for when it comes to me letting the rank members of the pack choose where they’d like to stay.

“I just don’t like them being out there that far with all the rogues that're coming close to the border” looking at me disappointed.

“Even though he was your beta, he is still the best and strongest tracker we have! He would hear and smell rogues the moment they got close. He asked to stay close to the border to help protect the pack still!” I tried calmly to explain it to him.

Just as I was about to hear him say something, Jonah mindlinks me “alpha there is a human girl here, she’s lost and asked to use my phone. She did call an Uber to come get her like she said she was, she’s harmless. What do you want me to do?”

“She’s human? How’d she even manage to get out here by herself?” I responded, looking at my father who was giving me a questionable look.

“I’m not 100% sure, but, alpha the Uber won’t come down here I will still have to take her to the end of the road and it’s gonna take at least an hour or two for them to get here!”

“Just talk to her to find anything out about her that she will tell you I’m on my way” I heard him agree and then closed the link.

“There is a human girl lost and managed to find Jonah's house. She seems harmless, I’m gonna run over and check it out!” Telling my father because I knew he was about to ask.

I storm over to Jonah's place and once I step out of my car I get a beautiful scent hugging my nose. It smells like vanilla and oatmeal cookies. My wolf blaze was prancing around in my head, wagging his tail and just going crazy. I followed the scent to Jonah's door, opened it and saw her sitting there. Blaze pushed for control and said “mate”. She was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen! Her beautiful dark brown hair with the perfect waves down past her shoulders. A stunning body I just wanted to push up against the wall now and mark her! I looked up at Jonah and mindlinked him “private room now!”

“Where did she come from?” I asked Jonah.

“She lives in the city, she goes to school for management and leadership, she’s about to graduate and she will be turning 22” he hesitated to say her degree.

“What is she doing here though? I mean I’m not mad about it because she seems to be my mate, but she’s human. How’d she managed to get clear out here alone?” Really a question to myself.

“I don’t know I didn’t have time to ask her, you busted through my door before I could! But let’s go find out she’s probably weirded out being left out there alone!” Pushing me out through the door.
