Ash’s P.O.V.
“Elina is going to be one hell of a Luna!” Chase mind linked me.
I couldn’t help but admire her. I haven’t even marked her and she’s taken charge. I don’t mind one bit though. Marked or not, she’s my mate and we will always be equals. Now it’s just a matter if the soon-to-be alpha Andrew will let her leave.
“Good evening everyone. First and foremost, I’d like to thank everyone who came today to celebrate my son becoming the new alpha of Blood Stone Pack. Andrew, would you please step up here to claim your title.”
The ceremony went fast, which I appreciated. We can now just mingle for a little bit and dip out. I'd rather stay in my room until we leave. As I go to get something to eat for myself and Elina I see Rebekah walking up. She loops her arm into mine and I quickly move it. She’s been after me for a while, and I’ve told her multiple times that I was not interested, and I was waiting for my mate. I’m quite shocked she has not found hers.
“Don’t be bitter with me now, Ash.” She said with a puppy dog face. I looked over to see Harlow staring daggers and whispering to Elina.
“That’s alpha Ash to you. What do you want, Rebekah?” I said, completely ignoring her face as I continued to load some food on my dish.
“I missed you.” She then again tried to touch me. I suddenly smelled my mate coming up next to me. The look on Rebekah’s face as Elina hooked her arm into mine.
“Hello, I don’t believe we have met. I’m Elina, Ash’s mate.” She puts her hand out to Rebekah. I can’t help but smirk. I know other alphas would stop their Luna from making a scene, but I believe she can handle her own. I wouldn’t ever treat her less than what she is. She will be Luna, just as strong as I am. There is no need for me to ever keep her hidden or sign her a permanent babysitter. The only reason she has one now is that I don’t have an ounce of trust in this pact, and she doesn’t have her wolf yet.
“Rebekah!” She shakes her hand. “Ash I…”
“Alpha Ash!” Elina interrupted her.
“Excuse me?” Rebekah had an annoyed look on her face and I couldn’t help but watch in amusement.
“I know I’m human as of right now, but I assume you are not a Luna yet, just an alphas daughter, but even so, you are not Ash’s mate, so you are to address him as alpha if am I not correct?”
“Well, Ash and I have known each other for a long time.” She smiled, thinking she'd done something.
“Again alpha Ash. And I don’t think that matters. It’s still alpha Ash to you. Now, if you excuse me, I’d like to steal my mate for a few minutes.”
“Well, not to be rude, Elina, but we were in the middle of a conversation.”
“Luna Elina.” She corrected her. “And I don’t believe I asked for permission.” As she pulled me away I could help to look back at Rebekah’s shocked face and laugh.
“You never seem to amaze me, my Luna.” I kissed her hand.
“Our Luna is kind of a badass.” Harlow mind linked to me.
“You were listening?”
“Clearly you were too amazed to see that everyone was listening. I don’t think you’ll have to worry about anyone messing with her. You might have found someone to put you in your place when you’re being an asshole.”
“I’m never an asshole Harlow.”
“Whatever you say, Brother.”
