Elina’s P.O.V.
“So I see you met Rebekah. Real piece of work, huh.” Harlow grinned as she took a drink of her champagne.
“More so very disrespectful.”
“You definitely put her in her place. Maybe she will back off now.”
“One can only hope.” I raised my glass to cheer her.
“If you excuse me, I’m going to visit the restroom, I’ll be right back. Chase, can you please escort me?”
“Yes ma’am.”
As I came out of the restroom, I ran into Alpha Andrew.
“Luna Elina, thank you for coming to my ceremony.”
“You’re welcome. Congratulations by the way.” I tried to be nice, but I thank god chase is with me.
“You’re human, right? This must be a huge adjustment for you, knowing there were werewolves among you.”
“It was definitely shocking. I actually passed out when I met Blaze.” I laughed.
“Oh wow. Well, at the end of the night we all go for a run, so you are about to see plenty of wolves. You’ll be okay though, right?”
“I'm sure I’ll be okay.” I tried to walk away.
“Is that a tattoo behind your ear? It’s definitely interesting.” s**t I forgot about the symbol behind my ear. I’m sure Ash would want me to lie about it because of the fact we don’t know why I have it.
“Yes it is. I got it a while ago.”
“Why a crown?” Why does he have to ask so many questions?
“Ummm..”
“Luna not to interrupt, but alpha Ash is asking for you.” Thank god!
“Pardon me, I must get back to my alpha.” I started to walk away.
“No problem, it was nice meeting you, Luna Elina.”
“You too!” I yelled.
As I got back to our table, I realize Ash was talking to Logan.
“Chase, I thought you said Ash wanted me?”
“No, Luna, I’m sorry I lied. You looked uncomfortable, so I made an excuse to get you out of it.”
“Just Elina please and no, thank you I was! I appreciate it.”
Everything was dying down. Ash introduced me to a lot of people. Some of the lunas seemed nice. There were a couple who could use an attitude adjustment. They reminded me of Luna Maggie and Rebekah. God, I feel bad for the soul who gets mated with her. For their sake, I hope it’s an alpha, so she leaves mine alone. I’ve watched her walk towards Ash 3 times but each time she caught me watching and walked right by him. They only have the run left for the night and I can go back to my room while they go. Ash insisted he’d stay behind, but I told him I’d be fine. Chase suggested that he was staying behind without Ash even asking. Since the run in with alpha Andrew, he’s been watching his every move.
“Excuse me everyone, if you please follow me to the side of the stage, we are ready to start our celebration run. The omegas that were assigned to your room will take clothes to switch back into.” Alpha Andrew announced. Ash gave me a kiss on the cheek.
“I’ll be right back, love, this won’t take long. How about you head up to the room and get changed. I can tell you are dying to get out of them heels.” He chuckled.
“Is it that obvious?” I laughed.
“I’ll be back soon, I promise.” He kissed me again before heading to the side of the stage.
“Chase do the omegas not join the run?”
“Some alphas allow it and others see them as just maids who don’t need to. They sneak off in the middle of the night to shift so their wolves don’t go crazy.”
“That’s so sad. Do our omegas shift whenever they want?”
“Yes. Ash treats them all with respect and kindness. He doesn’t work them all day, so they have plenty of time to enjoy their family and shift.”
As I watched everyone turn into wolves, I couldn’t contain my shocked look.
“Amazing, right?” Harlow said, coming to stand next to me.
“Yes, but I still don’t understand how it’s possible. Not to mention, once your brother marks me that I will become one.”
“You’ll get used to it once you get your wolf, then you’ll realize this is what you’ve been missing all your life.” I looked at her. How would she know that?
“You were destined to be a wolf. No matter where you were in the world, you would run into Ash one way or another. You were going to leave this earth as a wolf. The moon goddess always has her way.”
