Elina’s P.O.V.
After hours of shopping and girl talk with Harlow, we made our way back to the packhouse.
“You want me to put these in Ash’s room or do you want your own?” Harlow asked.
“Where do you think I should put them?” I mean we shared a bed last night and I slept like a baby for the first time in years, but I don’t want to overstep.
“Ash will want you in his room. So let’s go. We have to get you ready!” She squealed.
“Ready for what? I thought we were just going to dinner?”
“You’re going on a date sweetie so let’s get you all glammed up!” As she pulled me into his room.
After Harlow finished with me, she got a mindlink from Ash, which she explained that it was a way to contact each other anywhere and everywhere like your own personal phone in your head.
“He’s all ready for you! You remember how to get to the lake?” I nodded “That’s where he is! Have fun and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do!” She giggled.
As I walked toward the lake I saw lights hanging from the trees. The way they reflected in the water was beautiful. Then I noticed him, standing next to a table with dishes on it in a suit looking so sexy. I know it’s only been two days, but I’ve never felt more comfortable with another person.
“You look absolutely stunning, Elina!”
“Thank you Ash. You don’t look bad yourself.”
He kissed my cheek as he pulled out my seat. I swear I felt little sparks where he touched me. It was strange.
“So you wanna tell me more about you?” He asked.
“What do you want to know?”
“Do you have a family?”
“I did. They passed away when I was fourteen, then my grandpa took care of me up until I was nineteen, then he passed away. I’ve been on my own since.”
“Oh I’m so sorry Elina. If I’d known I wouldn’t have…”
“Oh no, it’s fine really. I don’t mind talking about them. They were the best!”
“Okay, what about your schooling? Johna had mentioned you were about to graduate? What made you take management and leadership?” He looked up at me. Gosh, his eyes are so beautiful and I could tell that blaze was apart of this date also!
“You don’t see female leaders a lot. I wanted to run something, or be part of something big. I want to make a change.” Now thinking of it not a bad college degree to have if I become Luna.
“You know I don’t just run the pack. I have a company and I’ve been looking for a business partner. I’m CEO of a construction company. It mostly just builds pack houses but I have humans in my company now and we’re spreading out. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to have you since you know more about the human world!” He suggested.
“Really? I’d honestly love to be part of it! That would be great, I can’t wait to start!” I replied.
“Elina, you’re beautiful and all, but I’d still have to run a background check to see if you aren’t a serial killer or steal money.” He joked.
“You’re not funny.” I laughed.
“But seriously, we can go check it out tomorrow if you’d like? Introduce you to the employees and staff?” He implied.
“I’d love to!”
“How would you feel about a movie now that we’re done with dinner?” He questioned.
“Lead the way.” This has been so far the best date anyone has taken me on.
He took me over to a huge sheet hanging from the trees with a blanket laid out and a huge beanbag. It was the perfect cozy place and was so beautiful. He started the movie and sat down next to me. After 30 minutes into the movie, I somehow found myself snuggled up against him. After the movie, we walked towards the lake.
“You want to go for a swim?”
“Right now?”
“Why not? Nothing will try to get you and if they do try, I’m faster and stronger!” He whispered with a chuckle.
The water was surprisingly warm and felt good against my skin.
“I’m not pushing you or anything, but tonight has been incredible and it’d only be polite if I asked you, so may I kiss you?” He asked so sweetly.
“You may.” I smiled. Our lips started to touch and I felt a bit of electricity type feeling between them that startled me.
“It’s from the mate bond but I don’t understand how you’d feel it? You don’t have a wolf?” He looked confused.
I ignored it and kissed him again. This was definitely a night I’ll always remember.
