Elina’s P.O.V.

Ash was right! These clothes fit perfectly! A little more revealing than I prefer but they are nice. As I walked out back into the room, Ash was just sitting on the bed in a daze.

“Are you okay?”

“Yea umm I was just thinking, Elina, how did you get out here?”

“Ohhhh ummm..” just tell him the truth. I’m sure he will understand it’s not like me and Ethan are together anymore. The man really dropped me off in the middle of nowhere. “You see, I was on a date with my boyfriend and we went to this new restaurant for our one year. Well, he decided to hit on the waitress and I had enough of it. I made him drop me off and told him I’d walk.” I spoke nervously.” I could’ve sworn I just heard him growl.

“I see we’ll he sounds like a douchebag, but I can’t say that I’m not glad he did. I’ve been searching for my mate who knew she’d come to me.” He said, smiling.

“So what happens if I do accept to be your mate?” Curious to pick up our conversation from last night.

“Well, we’d mate.” Giving me a smirk. “Then I’d mark you and you will change.” He hesitated.

“I’d change? What does that mean?”

“It means you will turn into a wolf. You’ll go to sleep for a day or two and the moon goddess will gift you with a wolf and then you will wake up.” I can see he’s trying to read my face. The moon goddess Oh my gosh, I almost forgot the gift! I ran into the bathroom and looked behind my ear. Sure enough, there is a symbol.

“Elina, are you okay?”

“The moon goddess said I was her chosen and put a symbol behind my ear.”

“Chosen? I’ve never heard of that before. Maybe we can ask my father and Jonah if anyone would know anything about that. It’d be them.”

I nodded while still looking at my neck.

“So Elina, what would you like to do today? I can show you around the pack. We could go shopping for you for some clothes if you plan on staying?”

Just as I was about to answer, my stomach started growling.

“Alright, I get it breakfast first, then you can decide.” He chuckled.

We made our way to the kitchen and saw a bunch of ladies making food.

“Good morning Alpha”

“Good morning ladies, this here is Elina. She may be staying with us, so I assume you will treat her as one of our important guests?”

“Of course, alpha. I’m Janet, the head chief here. It’s nice to meet you, is there anything in particular you’d like us to make you for breakfast?” She asked while shaking my hand.

“Whatever you are making now will be fine, thank you!”

“Great this way to the dinning hall love.” Ash put his arm out for me to take it.

“Wait, so what do you do to have so many people working for you?” Looking at him confused.

“Well, in a pack you have the omegas, which are usually cleaning, kitchen staff, and sometimes they prepare our luggage for trips . Then you have the gammas, which are leaders to our warriors. They train them for fights that may start if we ever encounter a rogue crossing our border. I’m sorry I’m going too fast. Any questions?”

“What’s a rogue?”

“ a wolf without a pack. We have laws we follow and not everyone agrees and goes against our laws. When they do that, we have no choice but to kick them out. Sometimes they find a new pack, but if they don’t, their wolf becomes crazy and they loose themselves and don’t know right for wrong.” That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever heard. How hard would wolf laws be to not be able to follow them?

“You can carry on.”

“Okay”, smiling at me. “Then we have the batas….”

“Who are the most badass of werewolves!” A guy yelled, coming through the doors. “Good morning Ash, Luna, nice to meet you, I’m Logan .” He smiled, sitting down next to Ash.

“Good morning Logan, this is Elina.” Ash said, looking at me.

“I know your mom spilled last night. I can’t believe I had to find out you met your mate though your mom dude.” He chuckled.

“It was really late in the night,” I said, looking at Ash. He smiled at me. Gosh, he’s so beautiful, how did I not see how beautiful he was? Calm down Elina, he can smell your arousal. “So the bata?”

“The bata is second in command. He’s the second strongest in the pact. He also takes on looking after the pact and protecting the pack while the alpha is away. They are also very good looking.” Logan smiled. I laughed and looked up at Ash.

“So you are the leader of this whole pack? How many people are there?!” Not believing someone so young could take care of so many people.

“I am. There are about 470 people. I run one of the biggest packs in the northeast. As alpha I protect the people here.” I couldn’t imagine taking care of over 400 people.

“Wait, you called me Luna? What is a Luna?” Looking at both of them.

“She makes the alpha stronger, she also mothers all the pack members. Does ceremonies, helps the alpha on businesses. She’s basically the female alpha. The mate of an alpha. You are equals! So that’s basically the ranked wolves.” Looking at me, waiting for me to say something.

“So I will be the leader of a pack?” So I don’t have to imagine it because I will be taking care of over 400 people. The moon goddess said that I needed to stay and accept Ash. What about my schooling? I’m almost graduated! Is that just all going to go down the drain?
