I should’ve argued with him. I should’ve protested at his command but I couldn’t. He was the Crown Prince; his word was the law. But as I stared at the mountain of texts sitting in front of me, I was considering going to Arkin and telling him I couldn’t do it. There was just too much knowledge and there was no way I could memorize and understand all of it in just seven days. Mayhap I could ask Arkin for some more time.
