Chapter 3—Starting The Journey

(Miedge's POV)

That time I immediately realize Aunt Beth. I go to my bedroom, call her and talk to her. I tell all the things happened and all he said was that Mom and Dad should be understood, because they are my parents and they should be the ones to make decisions in my life because I am still studying. I agree with what Aunt Beth said. Because parents should decide for us while we are still young. They make sure everything is correct and important. Everything they do is also for what we open.

That day, I packed my clothes and other things for a new place to stay. Because as soon as Dad said that he was going to rent a condo near the school where I was staying, it was already reserved, so I just moved.

I called Ela and told her about it. He was very happy and even said that he and aunt Corazon will cook a delicious dish. It's an incident because their house is close to the condo that Dad bought for me.

When I walked out the door, I can't explain what I felt. I'm like a bird out of a cage and free. I had so much fun at that time. I don't know why my joy seems to be overflowing and I can't stop it.

I got into the car and said goodbye to the people around me. It was seen if the helpers like sister Linda and Mommy were crying. I looked around the house and didn't see Daddy, I just ignored it. As I was about to enter the car's door, I saw Vell standing at the window and looking at me. I smiled at him and suddenly he turned and left. I told myself that I would just let it go and enjoy the new life.

I arrived at my condo, I was immediately greeted by the caretakers and the owner.

"Hi ma'am, I'm glad you got to this corner safely. We're happy waiting for your arrival," the owner happily greeted me.

"We will take care of your belongings maam, just go with the boss, she will show you your room," said the guard.

I smiled, and thanked. As I was about to enter the door, I heard the whispers of the people working in the condo.

"Isn't this the daughter of a millionaire couple, he's very lucky.. Do you know that his Dad himself bought it?"

"My God cheez! They bought this house?" I whispered.

The owner of the house that my Dad bought heard this, and he said that my Dad doesn't want to rent, because he wants the house to belong to him so that I don't have to move around.

He also said that my dad never rented a house in his entire life, he bought all the houses he lived in even if it was just to take advantage. So he is among the richest billionaires in the world.

He immediately paid the owner in full including the interest. He also said that it really made me angry, that was very kind of my Dad, he paid him in full and more.

We entered a room that felt like my head was hurting because of what I was hearing, even though I was far away from them, it was still inevitable that most people would mention the kindness of my parents that I couldn't see.

The owner left before she pointed to my room, I rested for a while because I was so tired , I lay down on the bed and took my cellphone.

After a while, my cell phone rang, it was Ela calling and happily asking if I had reached my condo.

"Bestie, have you arrived yet? Where have you been? Do you know that I cooked a lot! It's all for you. I cooked your favorite dish, adobo that I'm sure you'll like. Mama made a knuckle salad. Come on! By the way, where have you been?" she said.

I just laughed at what he said. I couldn't stop laughing because he was even more excited than I was. That's how surprised he was at my laughs.

" Mmmmm... Why are you laughing? Where have you been? Is there anything funny in what I'm saying? Where are you? I've been waiting here for a while?" she said.

"Do you know that you're even more excited than me if you show up. Ok fine. I'm already here at my condo."

Before I finished speaking, he shouted loudly.

"Ahh! I'm on my way! I'm on my way! I'm on my way! Just wait. I'm on my way! Goodbye!" she said.

I laughed so hard at Ela's expectations, I felt like my stomach was going to hurt from laughing.

I heard someone knock on the door and I opened it. When I opened it, I saw the caretakers of the house carrying my things into the room. I immediately took it and I was the only one who entered it in my room. I also told them that I have a visitor coming. Let them come in and say that they will just knock on the door of my room. They nodded and left.

I closed the door and arranged my things in my room. After a while there was another knock on the door and I opened it to see Aunt Beth carrying some fruits.

"Ohhh, Aunt Beth why are you here?" I said.

" Is it bad for me to visit my niece?" Aunt Beth said. Aunt Beth hugged me and I hugged her back.

"" I wanted to surprise you but it didn't work out. Just wait, who told you that I'm here? " I doubted.

I heard someone say 'me' at my door, I immediately turned and saw Ela smiling. We screamed loudly and hugged each other.

" Bestie! Ahhh, I miss you, you know!" Ela said.

"Seriously you did? Me too!" I said.

"She went to the house very happy and excited, before she even reached my door and knocked, she immediately shouted that you are already there in your condo," Aunt Beth explained.

"Aunt Beth, you're going to eat with us, for the four of us, mommy and I cooked a delicious dish, and dessert," Ela said.

"Alright! I can taste your mother's delicious cooking again," Aunt said with a smile.

"Come on, come on!" I said

We went to Ela and Tita Corazon's house to have lunch there. It wasn't far so we just walked towards it. On the way to Aunt Beth and Aunt Corazon's house, we will pass the school where Ela and I study. When we got close to Aunt Beth's house, she said that we should go to Ela's house first because she forgot something at her house. So we just nodded and walked.

When we were going to their house, we passed a man who was cleaning the street. He immediately greeted Ela and me 'good afternoon ladies' He looked at me and I saw that his eyes were shining, his face was like an angel that couldn't kill even a single mosquito, his lips were as red as roses and when he spoke it was the type that could be read he drools his lips and looks attractive.

Ela immediately said good afternoon Eric too. By the way, this is my bestie, Miedge, rich and beautiful, your type?

I immediately pinched Ela when she said that.

"Sorry for that! Ammm... If you have patience with this friend of mine, she's not feeling well," I said make an obeisance and blushing.

"That's ok! What he said is true, you are really beautiful," Eric said with a serious smile.

When he said that, I immediately said goodbye to him and pulled Ela towards the gate of their house.

"Heyyy, Bestie, is your face red now?"

I immediately hit him on the shoulder and I don't know why I was laughing like I was so happy.

"But it's true, Eric is hardworking, cute, handsome, kind. Do you know that he works for his brother. He makes him study. He stopped studying because of his brother. His mother and father are the there's nothing to do in life but drink and get drunk. What's more, even though they're like that, he's still able to help those in need, so for me he's the perfect boyfriend for you," Ela said with a big smile.

I kept quiet and thought that what happened to Eric and his family was a pity.His a believable, I believe in him, even though his parents still didn't give up and were able to help.

From what Ela said to me and listening, I didn't realize that we were right in front of their door. He knocked and Aunt Corazon opened the door. He immediately hugged me and we hugged.

We entered their house straight to the kitchen to eat, later Aunt Beth also arrived.
