( Ethan's Pov ) It was too early for this much noise in my head. I blinked at the sunlight slipping through the half-closed blinds of the living room. The couch creaked beneath me as I turned over, groaning. My neck ached. I hadn't meant to sleep out here, but after a late-night scroll through my phone and a quick back-and-forth with Alina, I'd just dozed off. Sharing space like this? Not my thing. I don't even know how I ended up in my room. I was used to my own place, my own flow, being the only child just as I was since growing up. And yeah, I hadn't exactly invited her into this space. But here we were, crashing into each other's routines like colliding planets. I know this was her mom's place, but my dad was paying the bills. And this made it as much of my place, as it was theirs.
