I slowly opened my eyes, groggily taking in my surroundings. My room was still clothed with darkness, the only light coming from the faint glow of my alarm clock. I blinked, trying to clear the haze from my mind. How did I fall asleep? My memories were hazy, but I still remembered Dante's presence, his lips on mine, and his husky voice stained with drunkardness.
As my eyes adjusted to the dim light, I realized I wasn't alone. Dante's arm was wrapped around me, his breath warm against my skin. Panic set in as I took in the situation. What time was it? My heart racing, I glanced at my alarm clock: 0520hrs.
