( Alina’s POV ) I knew it the moment we pulled up. This place was too much. Too rich. Too perfect. Too not-me. The mansion wasn’t even trying to be subtle about it. Cream-colored walls stretched up toward the sky, modern glass panels that reflected stars, and a soft, blue glow radiating from the inside like something out of a dream—or a nightmare.
