Sitting right there and then was the last man she'd ever expected to see. Was he the Roman Garchew she had been waiting for all these while?? She couldn't believe her eyes as she stared at him in shock. What exactly was happening here? Was he stalking her? It couldn't be because he didn't even know who she was....yet!
She had history with this man, but he didn't even recognize her on every occasion they met. This was the man who loved watching her dance every Friday night. Why did she keep meeting him on occassions she never expects? Why was fate always pushing him her way? Her favorite customer in the strip club was going to be her CEO??
All these questions ran through her head as she stood there bewildered.
Roman Garchew was a proud man. A young CEO and billionaire. He was an exceptionally dashing and beautiful man who exerted a raw male masculine energy and dark charm. But right now, he wasn't charming to look at.
He was having a conversation with his lawyer when the door to his office was suddenly flung open. His eyes flared as he stared at the intruder who had barged into his office. Who was this beautiful stupid woman? And why the hell was she staring at him like that?
As if she read his thoughts, she quickly comports herself and walks towards him.
"Hello sir, I'm sorry for barging in like this. I.....I" she stuttered
"Who are you" he asked with a still coldness in his voice interrupting her
"I'm Em... Emily Kumms. I'm your new secretary. It's nice to finally meet you sir" she said to him stretching out her hands and giving him a clumsy smile.
"Get out!....and don't come back".
"What?" .....she wondered what he meant by that, was he already firing her without even wanting to know anything about her?
He didn't take a second look at her before going back to what he was doing. His lawyer had to signal quietly for her to leave.
"Was this it? Was she already fired? She quietly went back to her office and lay down to think. What had she said to annoy him?
Why had he suddenly become a different person? The memory she had of this man was a sweet, affectionate memory. She ached so badly to tell him who she really was, but she remembers Trisha warning sounding in her ear.
She closes her eyes and her memory drifted for a while. She remembers when they had first met.
Emily walks into the room, making heads turn to admire her. It was a color themed masked party. She didn't do well with public attention. It always irritated her or made her nervous. She looks for her friend Sara and waves. Sara doesn't recognize Emily , until she comes closer and removes her mask.
"Oh my gosh...look at you Em" Sara excclaims
Emily laughs " hi Sara"
"This was supposed to be color themed Em..."
"I know girl..I must have forgotten 'cus I already chose this dress a long time"
"It doesn't even matter 'cus you look so drop dead gorgeous...like who are you right now?"
"You don't look bad yourself Sara, you're as colorful as the rainbows" They both laugh.
"You're really turning heads Em..aren't you something girl?
Emily gives a light chuckle. She puts on her mask back. They stay quiet for few seconds.
"Do you want a drink?" Emily asked
"No, no, I've had too many, I think I'm just gonna dance...you wanna come?"
"No Sara, have fun"
"Now don't just get yourself stuck in a corner, move around, make sure you have fun alright?"
"I will" Emily replied her with a soft smile. They both hug and Sara goes out to dance leaving Emily by herself. Emily not knowing what to do, looks around for a while, before heading to the bar. She needed a drink, maybe the alcohol would help loosen her a little.
She walks to the bar
"Hello, two tequila shots please"
"Alright beauty.... you gat it"
There was a man at the bar too, seated by himself. She couldn't see his face clearly 'cus he was slightly bent over his drink. But he was dressed very neatly in what looked like a royal tux. He had his hair well permed lying sexily at the nape of his neck.
Emily had taken only the first shot of tequila when she turned to see someone looking at her. It was the man at the bar. He had focused his attention to her. Emily took a sharp intake of breath. She was mesmerized at the spot where she was. This man looking at her looked very divinely. He looked devilishly handsome and breathtaking. He wasn't masked like everyone else in the party.
Every structure in his face screaming perfection. He didn't smile or say anything to her, only his gaze travelling all over her. She couldn't look away too. Thanks to her mask, she was able to hold his stare and look at him properly. Then he moves closer to her and spoke.
"What does your tattoo mean?" He asks her
"What?" ....then she follows his gaze to her wrist. "Jeez" She thought her gloves had covered the tatoos properly.
It was a tiny constellation of stars with an infinity by the side. He was waiting for a response. She rolled up her glove to uncover the tattoo properly.
"Uhmm... they're Cassiopeia, the constellation of love..so it's like a promise of infinity to love....uhmm...."
"Such mysterious dark beauty..."
"What?"
"Are you here by yourself?" He asks her
"Yes ...and you?"
"Yes".
They stare at each other for some seconds with so much attracting tension oozing between them.
"I think I'm going to call you Electra tonight"
Emily laughs lightly..."why?"
"You milady, seem to have enchanted me with thy mysterious essence and radiance"
"Well, isn't that lovely..." She gives a light chuckle. She takes the second shot of tequila, then curls her lips seductively..."i think I'm naming you Himello"....
"Why?"
"You sir, are a tempting Adonis and has stolen my attention from amongst another men"
They both laugh.
"Touché Electra" he smiled.
They speak for few minutes, then He asks her to dance.
"Will you do me the honor of dancing with you Milady?"
"Certainly sir"
They both move to the dancefloor. She remembered he was gentle and kind. He didn't smile so much but he had a kind loving look. She remembered how he stared deeply into her through her mask, like he could see deep within her soul. She remembered how she felt safe and protected in his arms as they waltz beautifully together. She remembered how he had murmured beautiful words in her ears and his words sent flutters of warm glow to her heart.
"I seem to have gotten the attention of the most enchanting woman in his room..you look incredible....like an enchantress, la mia incantatrice ...he whispered softly in her ears as they danced.
She remembered how he had asked to kiss her. "Such beautiful lips you have Electra, so tempting, if only thou wilt give me the pleasure of tasting thy soft lips, I want to kiss you so badly milady "
And he had kissed her so passionately, bursts of pleasure surged through her. ...she never forgot the feeling
His every touch drove an insane feeling inside her. She loved how masculine and solid he felt.
Then there was one more thing she remembered....she could never forget it. It felt so true, so real, she remembered it all these years.
He had .......
"Miss Kumms, Miss Kumms...are you alright??"
Startled, Emily jumps from the table where she had laid her head. She seemed to have drifted too far. She didn't know when it was almost night. The receptionist had to wake her up. Embarrassed she thanks the receptionist and leaves the office to go home.
