940 Words
"Alice, Alice I'm talking to you, what did you do that for? huh?" "Why are you yelling Rome? What did I do?" "No Alice, no, I won't have you come into my office and humiliate my staffs" "Oh, isn't that nice...good old Roman" she gives a wicked laugh. "I simply did what you couldn't do Roman, I dealt with her, next time she'll be more careful...you should be thanking me Rome, not being grumpy like a dad....please!!" "This is it Alice, you've done too much, I won't have you firing my staffs or treating them wrongly. You should go now Alice. I'll see you at home". "Let me get this right Roman Garchew, you're pissed because I simply corrected your staff? You're going to tell me to leave? Are you fuckin her?....hmmm?" Roman looks at her in deep anger and irritation without saying a word. She stares back at him, then takes her bag, blows him a kiss and leave. Roman sighs and rests his head in his palm for a while, while deep in thoughts. This had to stop, he thought to himself. His mind drifted back to the argument he had with Alice during their dinner date last night ...... "Rome, I'm tired of this relationship. We're just stuck here, when are you gonna be a man and take our relationship to the next level huh?? "I'm telling you Alice, I need an heir first, before I can marry you". "You must be kidding Roman, after all my dad has done for your family? Now you have the guts to make request before you can marry me?? "Alice I do not want to have this argument with you, I need to work and would really appreciate it if you..." "Shut up!, shut it Roman, I'm going to deal with you," she had left... Roman didn't like this situation at all. He'd made up his mind there and then. He couldn't continue, he'd have to end things with Alice. They've been trying for two years, yet she couldn't get pregnant. And worse still, she really took peace away from him. His mind drifted to Emily. He wondered if she was ok. He really felt sorry for her. If he was being truthful with himself, the tea didn't have any issues with it. He needed a diversion and it had gone wrong. He had hurt Emily. He called his receptionist to make sure Emily was ok, and to get proper treatment. Today was Friday. He'd go to his usual place to clear his head. That woman was his peace. She was the only one who made him feel alright. He wondered who she really was behind the mask. She always reminded him of the one person he could never forget. As he drove to the club, flashes of that woman stripper came to him. He remembers the first time he had met her in the club. There was a party... 2 years ago... "Hey Roman, are you still coming over, we've got you different kinds of women, so much fun Rome" "Yeah, yeah, brother...I'll be there, see you in a bit alright?" "Alright...my man!" Roman had arrived at the club. Pete's friends were already there. Tonight was Pete's birthday. They had booked the most exclusive part of the club for themselves. The smell of expensive wine and alcohol filled the air. Everyone was having fun, except Roman. He was trying to fit in. He wasn't enjoying the noise or whatever it was that was happening at the moment. He's only here because Pete was his childhood friend. "Hey man, you good?" "Hey...yeah yeah, I'm alright. I'm just gonna go outside for some air alright?" "Alright... don't be a stranger... enjoy yourself today ok?" "Yeah, sure sure". He had gone out to get air. He was out enjoying the peace and quiet of the night. Then he thought he heard a sound. It came from a corner outside where he was. It sounded like the sob of a woman. He walked towards where the sound came from. There was a young woman on the floor, with her head rested in her palms, sobbing. She had little clothes on, he guessed she was a stripper too. "Are you alright?" Startled, she quickly looked up, and used her hands to cover herself. She had a mask on Through the mask, he had seen a look of shock in her eyes, as if she knew him from somewhere. "It's you!" She had muttered It was him? Who the hell was she? She had said that , and had quickly rushed in. Did she know him from somewhere? Why was she afraid to let him see her? He had followed her behind to speak with her, but she had disappeared. Few minutes later she had come out later to strip for them. He was dazzled as he watched her dance. Her graceful glides on the pole almost drove him insane. He could tell he wasn't the only one mesmerized. She had everyone hooked onto her. But behind that masked smile, was a sad soul he had just encountered. That was the beginning of his obsession for her. He didn't pursue or disturb her, because he didn't want her to run away. He loved seeing her, she oozed out some kind of peace towards him with her dance. Plus the mystery behind who she was was very intriguing to him. He had come back from his thoughts. He was going there now and he'll see her again. Just maybe, he might try to buy a private dance from her and have a good chat with her.
