Their dinner date hadn't ended well, it had ended in disagreement and arguments. Roman was clearly irritated. He couldn't bear to look at Alice one more time. The girl sucked life from him everytime.
The next day, Emily arrives work already and is trying to sort out files her boss had instructed her to sort and send to him by close of work. While she was on that, her mind drifted back to the man she had seen yesterday.
That was clearly Alfie. She was very sure she wasn't seeing things. He was the former PA to Roman. He had been the one she met and told about the pregnancy five years ago. He had also also recognized her, because he had suddenly gone stiff when he saw her. She hadn't seen him again after the last encounter. Where had he come from? and what was he doing around?

Emily finds out she's pregnant with Himello's child. She uses the gold card he gave her to look for him. He had told her if she wanted to see him again, that gold card was a pass. She didn't understand whatever he had said, but she had kept it because she felt it might be useful sooner or later. She had dialed the number on the card and she had spoken with someone who identified himself as Alfie.
She got to his residence. She's quite taken back with surprise. Who really was this Himello? Only his residency suggested to her that he was someone of great importance. Alfie had come out to see her.
"Hello, you must be Emily Kumms?"
"Hi...yes I'm Emily, and you're Alfie?"
"Yes. What is it you wanted to see my boss for so urgently Miss Kumms?"
"Uhmm... I'm pregnant with his child".
Alfie scoffs and looks at her with irritation. "Look if you have nothing else to say, I suggest you leave this property now".
"No, no...you have to believe me, Alfie please, it's his child".
"You're not the first woman to say this alright?...i know my boss is an interesting man but please keep away".
"I'm not lying"
"And why should I believe it? You may be pregnant for another man, but 'cus yunno his status, you women will jump at the slightest opportunity to pin down such man"
"I don't even know who your boss is, we met two months ago at a party, and I'm pregnant with his child, I care not about whoever he is, I just need to see him...tell him it's Electra"
Alfie laughed and looked at Emily like she was loosing it.
"I'm a virgin, and he broke me. Here I have the pregnancy tests and results... please Alfie, I just need one audience with him"
"He has a lover...he didn't tell you that?..."
Emily was silent and just watching him, with tears almost dropping from her eyes.
"I suggest you leave now Miss Kumms"
Alfie turned to leave but Emily held him, went on her knees, begging him....
"Emily? Hey Emily..."
She gave a startled jerk. She had drifted to far away again and had been brought back to reality by the receptionist again.
"Are you ok?"
"Hey Susan, I.... I'm... I'll be fine ...thanks"
"Ok. Mr Garchew is around and requests for tea"
"Oh, alright Susan. Thank you".
As soon as Susan leaves, Emily gets up to make tea for her boss. She's done and takes it to his office. She knocks and enters. He doesn't seem happy, has a really bitter look on his face like he just had a quarrel or painful disagreement with someone. She wondered who or what might have angered him.
"Morning sir". There was no response. She dropped his tea and she's about to leave. A young woman comes into the office. She has the brightest skin Emily has seen. She is tall and has a very slim figure. She looks very sophisticated and classy. She guessed she must be her boss woman. She didn't really get a close look at the woman's face. She greets the woman, but gets ignored.
She sighs and murmurs to herself "these rich assholes"
Emily goes back to her office and begins some paperwork that needed to be worked on. Ten minutes later, the receptionist rings her and tells her Roman asks she comes to his office immediately. She wondered what was wrong. She stops what she's doing and goes back to Roman's office.
"Sir, you asked for....."
"What the hell is this, you dumbass!" He asks furiously
"Your tea sir"
"You take this s**t you call tea and leave my office at once!" He orders her
"I..I... I'm sorry sir". She's about to take the tea back, when the lady in the room immediately takes the tea and pours it on her.
"Alice!" Roman with utmost shock calls her
Immediately tears sprang to Emily's eyes. Alice ignores Roman and raises Emily's face with her finger.
"Look at me, the next time you flop at your job, I'll immediately throw you out...do you understand?"
"Yes ma'am" Emily replies her shivering
"Now get out, you poor thing".
Emily leaves the office. She goes to the toilet to clean herself up. The hotness of the tea pinched against her skin. She had redness and mild swellings all the places where the tea had poured on her. Tears of sadness rushes down her eyes. Her heart is wrenched in so much pain. The pain of seeing the man she loves, the father of her child, not knowing who she is and being humiliated in front of him. She cries so much, she's in the toilet for almost an hour, before she comes out. The image of that lady, came back to Emily. Emily had looked at her and was very sure she had known this woman from somewhere but couldn't quite place where.
