CHAPTER 9: Wedding

The next day, Samuel woke up early and went to Melody's room to wake her up. When he tried to wake her up, he noticed Melody isn't waking up. He checked her nose and found out that she wasn't breathing.
"No!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, causing the whole palace to wake up.
Their parents came to Melody's room and found Samuel crying miserably. They asked him what happened, he explained that Melody was dead. Their parents were shocked to hear their daughter was dead.
An hour later, Herbert came to Rivin kingdom to fetch his bride. However, he was greeted by sad faces. He asked what happened, he was informed that his bride-to-be died on their wedding day.
They couldn't bear to bury her, so they placed her in the deepest part of the dungeon with her ancestors.
The news of the death of Princess Melody spread like wildfire. Soon, it reached Severin. Aaron heard it and was sad, knowing his wife dead. On the same day, Benjamin came to Severin to visit Aaron because he knew that Aaron would be sad after hearing the news.
The next day, Battle of Severin happened. Samuel and Aaron were not involved in the battle, mourning for the sister/wife they loved had died. However, Herbert summoned his troops to defend Rivin. During the battle, King Andrew and Queen Esther were killed by the Severin troops; King Jason and Queen Abigail were killed by the Rivin troops. Herbert tried to attack the troops but was unfortunately killed as well.
Not knowing who won, each guard retreated back to their own kingdom.
