My belly hurt from laughing so hard, and it took a moment for all of us to calm down. Lucinda whispered something and shook her head, and her hair fell down around her shoulders like normal.
“Me! Do me!” Lily jumped up and down, making her hair bounce.
My aunt rubbed her hands together, touched Lily’s hair with a finger, and whispered the same words. Her hair fell down around her face, smooth like normal.
“Your turn?”
“Yes, please.” I nodded and could feel the weight of my hair bobbing. Lily giggled, and my aunt repeated the same thing with my hair. It flopped down into my face, but was no longer knotted.
