All the air left me as I crashed to the ground. Get up! You have to stand up and fight! I coughed as I struggled to get my arms under me and forced myself up. Adrenaline raced through my veins as I prepared myself to fight back against the witch.
But the witch was nowhere to be found. I was alone, and not even Rhett was by my side. Where am I? I spun around, searching for where he had gone. I was in a forest, surrounded by trees. But not my forest. This forest was lush and covered in mounds of green moss. Fog hung between the trees in thick walls, making it hard to see.
The forest was silent; no animals scurried; no birds sang.
