This had a profound effect on things, as you can probably imagine. Take the case of poor Johannes Lindemann. An avid wildlife photographer, he had long anticipated this trip to South Africa. To be in a shark cage, suspended beneath the Persephone, his Nikon capturing images of a large female … well, it was the pinnacle of his career.
