Chapter 12 escaped

lees pov.

We made it to the place we last visited yesterday and continued north. For Selene to say I was close made me even more determined to find them, to find her. We were about 2 hours up the mountain when I decided we needed a break. I mind link leiland and Koa to see if they have found anything. Koa was the first to respond. He says they haven't found any trace of the girls. Leiland finally says they haven't found anything either. So I sat and started thinking about where they could possibly be. Then it dawned on me there could be one place. I got the attention of my men and told them there was a place named Smuggler Spring where they might be hiding. They nod and we head out. After 2 hours, we start smelling rouges and hell starts getting agitated. I mink link Koa and Leiland and tell them we found them and they both tell me they are hours away, and I tell them that we will be doing recon till the get here.

Kat's pov.

Heaven says it's now or never. Leiland is still hours away. I look at Cass and tell her what I'm going to do is going to shock her and that I will explain everything when we are back in her cousins' pack. She said okay but you are scaring me. I'm sorry was all I got out before heaven and I merge shift. I break my chains and then walk over to break Cass's free. She looks pissed but says that's Fuxxking cool, but I'm still mad at you. I know let's go is what I say as we rip the door off the hinges. I took a bobby pin and gave it to Cass and told her to open all the cells and let them out. As she gets to work, I do the same, getting the guards' attention. I make a noise, and they look in and only see my normal half, so they come rushing in. Once the door opens, I grab the first one by the throat and crush his windpipe and neck in one squeeze. While Heaven rips the second guard's head clean off his body. Cass runs over and gets the keys and unlocks the doors.

Everyone is waiting for me to give the all clear. Heaven and I concentrate on the 4 guards walking, and we can also tell that there are also 10 people inside. I told Cass that as soon as they were all taken care of, we would leave. She says, okay, we will wait here. I asked heaven if we could actually do this? She says we aren't going to give up no matter what. Heaven mind links Midnight and tells him what we are doing and what's about to happen. He tells us we need to wait for back up, but Heaven tells him that this is the only way to save everyone and then blocks him. I head upstairs and grabbed the first guard and snapped his neck, then rolled him downstairs. Two of the girls helped Cass drag his body to the cell. I do this 3 more times and then head to the side of the house.

I get to the door, I merge shift and kick the door in. 4 of the men, rush me, but I take them one at a time tearing them apart limb by limb. There are body parts everywhere, and we don't care.2 more came running downstairs and shift midair. The closest one to me I reached into his chest midair and ripped his heart out. The second one land behind me and tried to bite me, but I kicked him with so much force that he hit the wall so hard he couldn't move. I proceeded upstairs when I heard a gun shot and then pain in my shoulder. That pissed Heaven off, and she fully shifted, grabbed him and shredded him like ground beef. 6 down 3 to go, I thought. I found one hiding, so I just snapped his neck, then I turned to see Marcus and another rouge. They started to flee when I heard another gun shot. It hit the same shoulder, so I turned and tore his throat out. Well, he got away, but now I know he will be back. I have Cass.

I wanted to go after him, but I needed to get everyone to safety. Heaven stays in wolf form till we get back to the dungeon. I shift back and tell Cass and the others that we will head south but stay close to the patrol. The 2 girls that helped early introduce themselves as Sapphire and Ruby. I tell them to make sure they help Cass keep everyone together. I know they are scared, but we will get them through this.

Lees pov.

About an hour later, we get a mind link from leiland saying Kat isn't waiting for back up. Fxxk this girl is going to get hurt. Even though I know she has been doing this awhile. I gather my men, and we start heading in and as soon as we get threw the trees, I see a group of girls walking towards us. Cass sees me and runs into my arms. I grabbed her and asked how they were able to escape, and she said it was all Katrina. I looked at her, and she was covered in blood. The others looked scared, so I reassured them that we wouldn't hurt them. I mind link Koa and Leiland and let them know that the girls are safe. Koa gets mad and tells me I should have waited. I told him we didn't do anything. He cut the link. Leiland says warriors are on their way in vans.

Kat walks over and says she is sorry for missing our date. I could only laugh, she did the same. Then they introduced me to Sapphire and Ruby. They are wolves, the rest are humans. Unfortunately, we told the group that we are taking them to the hospital to be checked over. Then we will get them home as soon as this is all over. Cass looks at me and says she knows who is behind all this. I started to ask, but she started to cry, and then the girls began to hold her, so I took that as my cue to walk away.

Kat's pov.

We started walking towards the road. Cass has calmed down a bit, but she can't bring herself to say what's on her mind. I understand why and it's probably killing her. Heaven said that Lilith was telling her she was just upset because all these people have gotten hurt or worse because of him. We started walking for a little bit and I started feeling funny. Heaven went completely silent and I started getting dizzy. I tried to brush it off. It's because I haven't eaten. Cass looks at me and notices something is wrong and hollers for Lee. That's the last thing I saw.

Lees pov.

As soon as Cass holled for me, I turned around just in time to see Kat hit the floor. I run over to her and picked her up just to almost drop her. The surge of electricity that passed through us was so strong, I was in shock for a split second before I turned and started running with her. I told the warriors to stay with the girls and Cass to make sure to protect the group till they reach the pack. Koa is 20 minutes away and Leiland should be in van when they get there. I let hell run as fast as he can go. We made it to the hospital in record time. They find 2 bullets coated in something, and hopefully we can get them out, so we can figure out what shewas poisoned with. The whole time we were waiting, Hell just kept saying was mine.
