The Kill

Chapter 3 – The Kill

Thankfully, they have started to pass out and it is getting quiet. This group seems to be mostly men, which means not having to worry about children seeing the c*****e that's about to happen. Most of them had fallen asleep by the campfire and the others made it to their tents. Right now, my main focus is the four men guarding the perimeter. They rotate every thirty seconds. We camouflage ourselves to blend in with the forest. We sneak up on the first one and cover his mouth with my right hand while heaven reaches in and pulls out his heart. We dropped him to the ground as quietly as we could and proceeded to do the same to the other three. We enter each tent and slit each throat of the men lying in them. We made our way around the camp as quickly and quietly till we found the leader.

We finally find him and tie him up and gag him till we are ready to talk to him. There were four women present and I gave them a choice to leave or join the rest. They chose to leave. The man was trying to connect to his wolf but couldn't because of the wolfbane. I decided to burn all the bodies and make the leader watch how I killed all of his men. I look at him and I tell him that I want answers and he is going to give them to me. You can either give me them willingly or I can torture you for them. It's your choice, I say.

I remove the gag and he stares at me with confusion and a look of horror. Do you know which elder is turning humans without consent? He ignores me so I rip his ear off, and he screams as the blood gushes down the side of his face. He looks at me and says something that sends me through a mental loop. How are you still alive? Excuse me, what did you say, and do you know who I am? Yes, the one who escaped five years ago in Las Vegas, NV. Stunned, I stepped back and stared at him trying to process what he said.

Heaven said she could hear his wolf begging for forgiveness because he is one of the men who kidnapped you and searched for you when we escaped and have waited for five years for a clue as to what has been happening. Now, finally I found one of the men. I fixed my composure and asked him again. Do you know which elder is turning humans without their consent? Again, he doesn't answer but starts trembling because he knows what's about to happen. I have had enough of him, and he chose torture. Heaven comes out and digs her claws into his knee and drags it all the way to his ankle. He begins screaming and crying. The blood is squirting and dripping all over the place. He can't even heal right now because of the wolfbane in his system.

I decided to give him five minutes to decide if he was going to talk or if I had to torture him more. He decided to speak as a smart man, I thought. He began that the elder was creating an army of rouges to take on the king. The group I just killed left the elder because they wanted a group of newbies, people he didn't care about basically. Ever since you ran away, he has laid low until recently when some more humans have gone missing near Seattle, Washington. The elder belongs to the higher counsel to the alpha king Lee of the North Cascades pack. It's been five years since I have heard that name. It brought a smile to my face.

I have had enough of this, so I thank him and inform him that Selene is waiting for him. His eyes widen and before he can beg, I rip his heart out and light him on fire. Killing this group has now brought my total of rouges to 1500 in the last five years. I’m going to make a plane as we start our journey back north to Washington state.

Alpha King Lees Pov.

Five years earlier………

Sitting in my office speaking to my beta Koa about the disappearances of several humans around the west coast. It's not something we normally focus on but we need to figure out if the ones responsible are humans or wolves. If it is a wolf, then we will have to get involved. We started discussing patrol when the door to my office burst open and in comes my gamma, Leiland. He is looking crazed and out of breath. We jumped up ready to fight when he said he had to leave. Confused and perplexed, I demanded an explanation. He said he couldn't give me a reason due to the nature of the situation and Selene gave him a direct order. I sat back down and was amazed because having Selene ask is one of the highest honors you can have.

Leiland sat down and said that he would be gone exactly 34 days, which includes travel time. Once I’m given permission, I will tell you both the whole story. I promised, I nodded my head and told him good luck and if he needed anything don't hesitate to call. After Leiland left, Koa and I both expressed that we hoped whatever he is doing is going to help with the kidnappings.

Leiland's Pov

Selene came to me in my sleep, and it was so surreal. She was so beautiful and breathtaking. I was in complete awe. She asked me to go to Kanisksu national forest and Idaho panhandle forest 2 miles east of Lake Pendoreille. I was confused as to why. She said that there was a girl there that needed training because she was one of the humans that was kidnapped and she was turned against her will. Why me Tho. I asked. She said you are one of the best trainers, and you are a gamma, and a protector, right? Yes, I am Selene. You can't tell a soul about anything I have told you about. Do you understand? Yes, I understand and I won't tell anyone. She finished with that's an order, Leiland. It felt like I was hit by an invisible wall, I swore to her again and she smiled, kissed my forehead and vanished. I jolted awake and ran to Alpha Lees office. I barged in, startling him and beta Koa, I told them what I could and he agreed almost immediately and I left and headed to my room to pack. I left as soon as I was done. It took me 2 days to get there and I didn't stop till I saw a girl sleeping by a campfire. Midnight, my wolf was confused because she didn't smell like a wolf. Her wolf began to speak to midnight, just as the girl began to wake up. I saw her starting at me and while I was doing the same I noticed how beautiful she was. She had long black hair to her ass, black/blue eyes, and she looked too petite for training but I had to do this. I approached her when I was 2 feet from her. I asked her if her name was Kat and she said yes and" who are you". So I introduced myself.

We literally talked for a couple of minutes before she was like lets get started. Kat was so graceful in human form and wolf form I have never seen anyone learn as fast as she has. Heaven was so beautiful as well. Her fur is white, silver and blue. I read somewhere once that there was only one wolf in history to look like her. I had to push my thoughts away to continue her training. After the first week, she had become stronger, faster and had more stamina than our Alpha King, which is saying a lot. By week 2 she was kicking my ass, surprisingly. I’m one of the best fighters out there. Week 3 we started working with kuni and swords and other objects and that didn't take her long to figure out either. I feel like I’m just here to be here at this point. During our last week of training, Kat and heaven were able to merge shifts, something I had never seen before. When they did it, Kat controlled the right side and Heaven controlled the left and it was absolutely amazing. After all that, I determined I couldn't train her any more. So I wished her good luck on whatever journey she had. And headed back home.
