Chapter 6 -Arrived

Kats Pov.

Heaven and I finally made it to Oroville, Washington. It's a small town, nothing like Las Vegas, NV. But it will have to do for now. It's close to the pack. We need to be close to the pack, she said. We duck behind some trees and shift back, I get dressed in my signature clothes, sling my bag on my shoulder and start looking for a place to stay. After about 10 minutes of walking, I came across a bed and breakfast that had rooms for 30 dollars a night. I decided that this would work, so I walked up the stairs and I started smelling wolves. I automatically put my guard up. As I walked through the door, I saw an older couple sitting there giggling and acting like teenagers like they were the only ones around. The woman sees me and gets up and apologizes for having to see the interaction. I told her there is no need to apologize. It's wonderful to see two people so in love. She assumes we are human, and I don't correct her because we need to stay as low as possible. She introduces herself; my name is Helen and that is Douglas or Doug for short. It's lovely to meet you both. I'm Katrina. Helen smiles and says what a lovely name. What can we help you with? I would like to rent a room if there are any available? She says there are plenty of rooms and that she can only do a month at a time. I say that's perfect, she proceeds behind the counter and tells me that my total is 900 dollars. I gave her 1000 and she said I didn't need to do that. I told her it was for something extra. She didn't argue and gave me the key. It's on the third floor, third door on the right.

I thanked them both, and I turned to head to my room. As I walked up, I notice how simple and cute the house was. It's an off-white color with splashes of flowered wallpaper. It gives the house a cheerful and happy feeling. The banner is a cream color and reminds me of the staircases from the movies. I finally made it to my room. I open the door and the room was beautiful. There is a queen-sized bed with black and white bedding. The room is a mix between dark gray and light gray and has a grayish carpet. The bed frame, the nightstands and dresser are all a deep mahogany color. There is a walk-in closet that is gray and white with plenty of room. On the right side of the room is the bathroom, which has a stand-up shower and a Jacuzzi tub. And a black and white marble counter top. I decided to put my clothes away because they're very little, so it won't take long. On the night stand, I see the paper, and it's an itemized schedule for mealtimes, laundry days and what can be done at that time, or we can go to the laundry mat.

Since it was 10 am I missed breakfast, so I decided to go shopping and grab a bite at a diner. I needed to grab clothes, personal necessities, and a wig or 2. I left my room and head downstairs. I see Helen in the front, and she smiles at me and asks how I like the room and I told her it was amazing. She said thank you and asked if there was anything else she could do for me? Yes, actually can you point me in the direction of the shops? Yes, of course dear, they are 2 blocks north of here. There is also a dinner on the corner if you're hungry, she said. I thanked her and headed out. As I'm walking, I notice people staring at me. It's nothing new because of my eyes, but to this small town I'm new, so they are just curious. I found a cute little goth boutique where I could get new close and shoes. The next shop is too girly for me, but I need something interview appropriate. After I picked out an outfit, I headed towards what looked like a cute little mom-and-pop store for all my necessities. I look at the time. It's 1pm. I missed lunch now too. So, I head to the diner and took a seat. I'm so exhausted for shopping, I don't understand why Tho. Heaven starts giggling and says it's because you are not a girly girl. She is 100% right. I'm not. As I'm waiting to be greeted, I notice a bubbly tell it like it is girl walk towards me, and she is way too happy. Hi, my name is Cass and I'll be your waitress. What can I get for you? I ordered a cheeseburger with everything on it except ketchup and mustered fries and a sweet tea. 20 minutes later, she brought my food and asked if I needed any sauce since I didn't put ketchup on my burger? Do you have thousand island or steak sauces? Yes, she said and asked why I didn't put them on. I said it was because I didn't like ketchup, it was gross. She gave me a weird look and left. She came back with both. And refilled my glass. I paid for my meal and asked Cass if she knew anything fun to do around here? She smiled.

Cass said she could show me around once her shift was over. I agreed, thanked her and waited for her. I was going over everything I bought and counting my money when Cass walked over and said she was ready. I asked her if she knew anywhere that was hiring? She said yes and walked to the back and a middle-aged man came out of the back, and she introduced him as frank. He said I can start tomorrow. I was a little confused and Cass said she talked to him earlier about it because I'm new in town. I smiled at her, and we walked on the main street and I listened to the history of this town, and she would pause and say humans instead of werewolves, because she thinks I'm human. I can tell Cass and I are going to be great friends.

Lee’s pov. - 2 days later

Finally, I made it back to Orovile, Washington. I decided to stop and see my favorite cousin who works at the local diner and walked in, and I took my favorite spot and Cass waved me down. She came and gave me a hug and asked where I had been? I told her I had a meeting across the country. She knew that meant I was hunting, so to speak. As Cass was pouring my coffee I saw the most beautiful girl come from the back with short blonde hair, petite, and the most unique eyes I have ever seen. Cass saw me looking and waved her hand in front of my face and was looking at me. I asked her who she was? I had never seen her before. Her name is Katrina, and she just moved 3 days ago. Its weird she doesn't have a scent, which is very odd. What is more interesting is Hell was interested in her too and, normally, he doesn't care about anyone except his fated. She started walking over to Cass, and she waved her over and introduced us. Her name sounded perfect, rolling off my tongue. What the f**k is wrong with me? Hell agreed something is off. Hell informed me that she has a mental block and is concerned but more intrigued by it.

Kats Pov.

I have been working at the dinner for 2 days now, and it's going great. Walking out of the kitchen, I got a weird feeling. I served the couple at the counter and turned to look at him when my eyes connected with his eyes that were so captivating and alluring. He was one sexy man. As I made my way towards Cass, Heaven informed me that man is THE ALPHA KING! I instantly start panicking, FUXK, FUXK, FUXK. Heaven makes me relax a bit, so we don't get caught. Cass introduces me and his name sent a chill down my spine, Lee, but it was in a good way. It's nice to meet you Lee, I said. I looked at Cass and told her my shift was over, and I would be heading home. See you tomorrow Cass. Cass and Lee continued their conversation as I walked to the back to get my stuff. When I came back out he was gone, and I kinda felt disappointed. Why I don't know.

Getting home, I sat down with Helen and Doug to have dinner. They asked about work and if anything interesting happened. I told them that my day was great. I even meet someone new. He is Cass's cousin, Lee. They gave me an interesting look but continued eating. I was too tired to question it. After dinner was over, I helped Helen clean up, then headed upstairs. Once I reached my room, I headed to the shower and got pj's on. Heaven and I are trying to come up with a way to get the elders to the diner or just town in general. So I asked her to reach out to Selene again even though she hasn't been answering us. Heaven are you doing okay? I asked. Yeah, just can't wait to finally get revenge for what happened to you. I understood was all I could say. She went and layed down and put up our block, so she could rest while I was thinking. I slowly started to drift off till I fell into a restless sleep.

Heavens pov.

I called out for Selene after I put the mental block up. I'm struggling being this close to Hell and not being able to hold him or just being with him is killing me. I have been reaching out almost every night and she hasn't answered me. I was getting ready to call her again when, all of a sudden, there was a bright light
