Amanda I froze while standing in place when I heard voices outside. I crept in with faint steps and approached the door of the small room attached to my mother's suite, holding in my hand the manuscript I was looking for and had seen before in my mother's hand a few days earlier. When I was young, I saw her once, and the lines of that drawing on the manuscript were engraved in my memory. I do not know why my mother was keen on anyone seeing it ?! And why did she take it out of hiding now? I feel like there's a secret behind it. And when I looked at those strange inscriptions, my suspicions about the tattoo were confirmed, and I didn't imagine when I told myself that this drawing was identical to the tattoo of this stranger that I saw in Sophia's room. I think he was called Nikolai.
