The Clantons
The land was broken and created little valleys that seemed to go nowhere. Following them was time-consuming and made it necessary to wander off course too much. It also meant he needed to climb up one side of a ridge, only to climb down the other. The answer Talon discovered was to remain on the tops and work the ridges. He found that if he looked ahead far enough he could see where to cut across and where he could ride the ridges looking into the little valleys. Where one ridge ended he could easily cross a little valley to where another started.
It was slow going at first but in the course of time got easier. Little meadows of grass with islands of trees spotted the land. Passing from one little grassland to the next was only a matter of riding around the little
