Brodie Buckhart
Brodie Buckhart was a man Talon had never met, or ever would, but Brodie Buckhart was about to play a part in Talon’s life that would change a great many things, not all of them to the good. Brodie had left the big city of Buffalo, Wyoming a few days earlier on the stage home. He was dressed like a rich man, and that for good reason. Brodie was the son of a prominent rancher fifteen miles south of the town of Wolf Creek.
His father had money, but he wasn’t loose with it, not even for Brodie. His father’s name was Lance, and Lance had decided that Brodie should have to work for what he got like anyone else. He paid him more than the other hands, but he paid him by the month like any other ranch hand.
