Chapter Forty-One Amman, Jordan The telephone rang at six o’clock in the morning. Arranging the call with the hotel operator had been Simon’s last act before going to bed. It had been a restless night and despite his tiredness, it had taken him some time to finally get to sleep. His mind was too full of thoughts. The revelation about Anna working for the Vatican, the anticipation of finding the labyrinth entrance and the prospect of saving Heather were all buzzing around in his head. Once he had finally dozed off, he slept deeply. The events over the past few days had been both physically and emotionally draining. Reaching over, he cancelled the alarm and then picked up the receiver to order from room service. After showering, he used his mobile phone to call the Hilton Hotel in Cairo.
