Carina pov Sleep did not come easily that night. I lay in the dark staring at the ceiling, thinking about Damien, about the towel, about everything I had seen and tried very hard not to keep seeing. I pressed my fingers to my lips once without meaning to, then pulled my hand away quickly and told myself firmly to stop. It did not work. I thought about him until the thoughts blurred softly at the edges and pulled me under into sleep. Morning came fast. I dressed, tied my hair back and walked down the corridor to Damien's room. I knocked, pushed the door open and stepped inside. The room was empty and the bed was already made.
