CHAPTER XVI Going Home

Lyanna took Mike by the shoulder and went out of the cave. The Sun was shining bright outside and she was forced to cover her eyes. Lyanna looked around not knowing where she was. There were woods all around her and they all looked the same. Then somewhere far away in West she saw one of the schools' towers and headed that way. It wasn't a long journey but she was tired and holding an unconscious boy wasn't easy. At last she arrived, a lot of people like Catherine, Addison, Ethan, Charles, Harry, Leah, Chloe, professor, police and doctors were outside looking at the sky, when they saw Lyanna they all rushed to her. Charles was the first one to her.

"Lyanna are you all right?"-he asked.

"I'm...better."-she chose to say.

"What happened?"-Harry asked making his way to Lyanna.

"Can someone please take Mike? I can't hold him much longer. I'll tell you everything."-Lyanna said handing Mike to one of the professors who send him to the nurse. Just a few moments later Lyanna collapsed, however this time she woke sooner.

When she got up she saw herself in the nursery. Harry, Chloe, Leah, Charles, Catherine, Addison and Ethan were right there, waiting for her to get up. Soon 2 inspectors came in and Lyanna told them everything about John's plan. Everyone else was shocked to hear that sweet professor John would do such thing. Lyanna also told them where the cave was and the 2 inspectors with a group of police and emergency doctors went there.

Charles together with Harry, Leah and Chloe left so that Lyanna could have a moment alone with Ethan, Catherine and Addison.

"Lyanna I am so, so, sorry!"-said Ethan with his head down.

"Please spare me that!"-said Lyanna getting comfortable on her bed. "I seriously don't want to hear any of that. Haven't I been through enough this year? And where were you? Turning your backs on me, without any hesitation. Before you left for winter holiday Ethan you told me I was no longer welcome at YOUR house, and you left laughing while I fainted."-and then she turned to Catherine "And then I called you, and you just told me that if you ever see me again you'll make me regret everything, well here we are, make me."-after a short pause where Catherine and Addison were trying to say something but couldn't think of anything to say at that time Lyanna turned to Addison "You didn't even answer my calls."-Lyanna then spoke to Ethan again "You called me an abomination of nature Ethan. And now you want...What is it exactly that you want?"

"For you to come home Lyanna. To come home so we can be a family again."-he said with his puppy eyes.

"Those puppy eyes aren't going to work anymore. And that is not how it works, I can't come with you, we can't go back to how it was, because whatever we had is broken beyond repair, as am I. Now if you care the tiniest bit about me you'd leave. I can't even look at you anymore without breaking."-she wanted to say much more but she heard her voice braking so she stopped.

For the first time in moths the King family understood Lyanna and let her be alone. For a few minutes she cried a bit, then she got out of the nursery and ran to hug her friends. She told them about the vision she had when John wanted to take her soul.

"That vision gave me strength. If it wasn't for you guys, I would have never defeated John."-said Lyanna after she gave them a big hug again.

"Did you hear? Professor Charles said that the school year will be over sooner this year, we'll only be her for two more months."-said Harry while they were going to the common room.

In the common room everyone welcomed Lyanna with applauses and hugs.

"Guys, guys, this is amazing, really. But I am no hero, I just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. This event has no heroes, it has survivors, me, Tom and Mike. So please save this positive energy for your families."-Lyanna said when she finally made herself the way to the couch.

"Umm Lyanna I wanted to say something."-said Mike coming forward to Lyanna "Thank you so much for saving my life. I owe you so much."

"You owe me nothing Mike."

The two months there were left they mostly did activities. Lyanna explained to professor Charles that she doesn't have to turn anymore, but he said that it's safer if she goes down in the basement. There Lyanna turned just for fun, and it felt amazing how she could control herself.

Lyanna, Leah and Chloe were in their room packing their thing. When she had packed almost everything she saw her key pencil.

"I have barely used this."-she said showing it to Chloe and Leah.

"So?"-Leah asked as usual.

"At the beginning of the year I thought it would be the most important thing I would hold during my time here."

"A lot has changed since the beginning of the year Lyanna!"-Chloe said while taking the keypencil from Lyanna and putting it in the table "Now we have to hold something much more important and more fragile than this keypencil."

"What's that?"-Lyanna asked moving her eyes from Chloe to Leah and vice versa.

"Friendship, Lyanna, Friendship."-both Chloe and Leah replied. And when they hugged it felt like the best hug they had had.

Closing the door behind them Lyanna looked through the window and saw the 13 busses waiting for them. After saying goodbye all the students got in their buses and soon they arrived at the train station.

A while after Leah and Chloe got out of the train it was Lyannas' and Harrys' stop. Lyanna was feeling overwhelmed about meeting her family. When they stepped outside...
