Lyanna woke with a terrible head ache. She looked around and not knowing where she was. Close to her was a body, after seeing it better Lyanna realized that it was Mike. She managed to get close to him to hear his pulse, however the moment she reached Mike a man's hand caught her by the shoulder.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. We shouldn't touch what's not ours Lyanna."-the man said. That voice seemed so familiar to her, yet she couldn't tell who the man was.
"Turn around now my dear."-he said again. A click was heard and Lyanna saw with her tail of her eye that he was holding a fire weapon. Terrified she turned around and the man she saw was the last man she ever expected to see there holding a fire weapon against her. She held her breath for a moment there. It was John, the nice professor. It didn't make any sense.
"Surprised to see me?"-he asked.
Lyanna's head was filled with questions but she wasn't able to form not even a word. John realized and then said:
"It's ok. The other two were too."-After saying those words, he put down the weapon.
"What?"-Lyanna finally managed to say. But before he could answer Lyanna felt that terrible pain again now not just in her head but in every inch of her body. The pain was so strong that Lyanna after a lot of struggle screamed like hell.
"Don't worry about that."-John said looking down at her "It's used to slow down the transformation. I need you the way you are, Lyanna."-after that he ignored completely the noises Lyanna made because of the hurt "You know what? You deserve to know what I'm going to do. Well it all started when I met your friend's mom Catherine. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, like the tropical flower on a dessert. She was supposed to be mine, and yet she was dating that total waste of space Addison."
Lyanna's pain finally stopped and John continued telling his story and since Lyanna had been weaken by the spell or whatever he used to slow down the transformation there was nothing she could do.
"I tried a couple of years ago to stop them from getting married. I created the very first gargoyle attack to stop her being with Addison, still she married that half man. But now, my dear, now I know what I should do. I will go back to when Laster and Stork where united..."
"That's like 1000 years ago, when that Jenny killed herself because Jack didn't show up."-Lyanna interrupted. "How do you plan to go back 1000 years?"
"So you do know what happened? I thought you had never heard the story. Well it's better that you have. You saved us a lot of time because I was planning to tell you the stupid story of how two sworn enemies got stupid enough to unite. Let's get back to my plan. I will go back and stop them from doing something as awful as that. When I come back Catherine and Addison will never have met because Catherine is a Laster while Addison in a Stork. And I have everything I need: a werewolf and a child to sacrifice"-said John when he pointed at Mike "a perfect time traveling spell and the power to make the spell. The best part is I won't be interrupted, because those people out there are too busy dealing with my gargoyles. So now tell me Lyanna, do you remember when you found the prophecy in that awfully light so called office?"
Lyanna nodded and he continued:
"I put it there. Did you really think someone would be so stupid to leave something as important as that just lying there on the ground? Or when I came at your house by the end of the summer, did you really believe that I came to talk to her about the trip we made? Did you ever think that there was absolutely no one to come with me? And did you ever wonder why she agreed so fast, her tea. I sold it to her a couple of weeks earlier, it actually had no tea in it, it was just 'obey powder'."
"You're a maniac."-Lyanna shouted.
"You think now I am a maniac, we haven't even reached the best part yet. Then you were coming close to my plan in the wrong way. Do you remember when you told Ethan that I might have a crush on his mom? Since than he's been terrible to you, saying all of those awful things, convincing Catherine that you shouldn't go back to their house ever again. Did you ever wonder why?"
Lyanna looked up at him, she had been asking that question to herself for a long time, now her psycho professor has the answer.
"I knew that would get your attention. Well sorry to disappoint you, but Ethan did it all by himself I barely gave an idea, he came to confront to me about his mom, and left as part of my perfect plan. I convinced him you were the bad guy and he believed it so fast I didn't even have to explain. And when I found out that you learned to control yourself to not turn, made all my plan fall together. You see Lyanna everything that has happened since this summer in this filthy city happened for a greater cause?"
"Why are you telling me all this, professor?"-Lyanna asked clenching her teeth.
"Well why not? It's not like you're going to make it out of here in a position to ever do something."-John said with an evil smile on his face.
Lyanna's pain started again. But this time they hurt less and she was able to ask one last question:
"You're going to kill me, right?"
"Kill you? No, no, no my dear. I'm going to do something much worse than kill you. I'm going to take away your soul, you'll be nothing after that, just a walking body. And I? When I'm done Catherine will be mine. And when the Dark Moon reaches its' apex we shall begin."
Lyanna was angry as she had never been before, but for the first time ever she was also terrified, she was scared of what may happen next. Before that every choice she had made she had never thought of the consequents they might have and now, now she didn't even have a choice.
"The bad feelings."-she said and John turned confused to look at her "The bad feelings I had, one before you came to my house the other before the first attack. Did you have anything to do with in?"
"Oh, no my dear. That was just the wolf inside of you sensing something wrong, but as I was hoping you decided to listen to the others than your instinct. You foolish little girl, if you'd only listen to yourself you could have ended this before it even went big."-said John taking joy in watching Lyanna suffer in both physical pain the potion was causing her and emotional pain he had just caused.
Finally, the Moon reached its apex and John made the final preparations.
