Scanlon checked his watch. "OK, what do I do?"
"I"ve planned a route for you to walk. My colleague Harry and I will leapfrog. We"ll check you through a series of choke points: places we can spot watchers. If we do enough choke points we"re likely to begin to see familiar faces."
"OK."
"It"ll be a bit of a trek. We need some distance and a variety of scenarios so we don"t get paranoid about people who aren"t up to anything."
"No problem. Then back here?"
"No," said Gallagher. "We moved a car and my motorbike first thing this morning. You and Harry will go forward to the car, and I"ll watch your back as you move to the RV."
"We could be followed in the car."
"It"s parked somewhere quiet with good visibility up and down the street. A surveillance team would be blown."
