Chapter 16 Rob Alberton saw Gallagher standing on the touchline as the whistle blew and jogged over. 'Did you win?' asked Gallagher. 'No. We rarely do, but it's good exercise. Problem is we spend more time in the bar than on the training pitch. You're here about Sandy, right?' 'I need to know where he went and what he was doing in the last couple of weeks.' 'I'd like to help, Owen, I really would.' 'But?' 'I'm decades away from my pension for a start. More importantly, Sandy didn't keep a journal that I know of.' 'I'm going to try to find them, Rob. They won't be findable for long.' 'What kind of thing are we talking about?' 'New contacts, anything that stands out, plus anything related to Flic Anderson.' 'I'll do what I can.' Gallagher handed Alberton a phone. 'Be careful.' '
