Chapter Fifteen

Bella

"Bella" she said softly and took a few steps towards me "No that can't be possible, my mom died five years ago" I said looking at her with wide eyes

"I didn't die" she said while tears ran down her cheeks "Yes you did, even the doctors told us, they even covered your face with the wide sheets" I said

"Who are you?" Chris asked looking at the woman's eyes "I'm Elizabeth Monica Moon" she said "If you're Elizabeth Monica Moon, then how come your name is on this graveyard having your deaths date" Chris said, while giving my hand a squeeze

"It's a long story" she said, Chris was about to say something but I cut him of "Do you know how old I am?" I asked "You're seventeen and Brandon is fifteen" she said softly

This can't be true, how is she standing here while all these years I've come to the cemetery to talk to her, or well now I got to know that I was talking to myself

"How come the doctors told us that you were dead?" I asked taking a few steps towards her "I told the doctors to tell you that" she said "No you couldn't. You were shot right in the middle of the head, and I saw it with both my eyes" I said

"I didn't get shot in the middle of my head, I was shot at the side of my head but from the angle, you were standing from showed that I was shot in the middle" she explained "But you weren't responding to any of the doctors in the ambulance" I said

"I wasn't, but when we reached the hospital I was able to talk for a couple of minutes right before I fell in coma" she said "So you're trying to tell me that my mother that I thought was dead, ends up living and in a coma?" I ask looking her in the eye

It is her. The same eye colour, the same brown hair that reached her waist, the same soft voice that she used to sing for me when I was a kid

How could you believe this? We saw her dying

Yes, but she has the explanation

"Why did you tell the doctors to inform us that you were dead?" I asked the question that was bugging me "Because if you found out about me having the slightest percentage in surviving, you would have stayed and he would have made your life miserable more than he did" she said

"No" I whispered mostly to my self "Bella, I am your mother. I went to Carrie before I came here and she checked my hospital files" she said softly "How come your name is on this graveyard and has your death date?" I asked

"This is isn't true, this woman that's inside here she was one of my friends that didn't have a family" she explained "So you're telling us that she had the same exact name. Elizabeth Monica Moon?" Chris asked

"I know it's hard to believe, but that's exactly what happened. I was supposed to fake my death, so Collins could leave you and then I would come and be with you again" she explained

How can this be possible? I just want some help. All this is too much

"Bella, I can do you anything to prove that I'm your mother, but please to think that I'm a liar and try to stay away from me, please" she said and I take a deep breath "Give us a second" Chris said pulling me a few feet away from her

"Bella if you want us to leave and........" but I cut him off "I believe her" I said softly trying my best to hide my tears "You do?" Chris asked and I avoid his eye contact

"Bella, please look at me" he said, he didn't wait for me to do it since he placed his hands under my chin and pulled my face up to look at him

"Do you believe her?" he asked me softly "I...I think I do. I mean she has the same eyes, the same hair, the same voice, she even knew Brandon's name without me telling her but........ but I'm just scared" I whisper the last part

"Bella, I told you that I'm here with you. Don't ever be scared okay" he said and I nod my head "Let's go and we'll see what she's going to do to prove that she's your mother" he said softly and I nod my head

We walk back to my ...... mum?

Ya, we walked back to my mum and found her staring at us having a smile on her lips "What were you gonna do to prove that you're Bella's mother?" Chris asked since I couldn't find my voice

"I can answer any personal questions she can ask me" she said directly and Chris nods his head, he turns to face me giving me the 'are you sure look' and I nod my head

"What's the thing that I was afraid of when I was a little kid?" I ask "The dark" she said

"W....what was the last thing we were playing before the accident?" I asked looking her straight in the eyes "Hide and seek" she said softly

She's right. Go to her, you know that she's your mother, go and hug her, talk to her like you always did

Without even thinking I took the few steps that were separating me and my mum and I hugged her, without hesitation she hugged me too "I missed you so much sweetheart" she said while I felt her tears on my neck

"Carrie told me about everything that happened, I just wish I was there for you" she said "It wasn't your fault" I said softly "It was completely my fault, if I didn't fall in a coma for the past five years I would have helped you" she said

I took a deep breath "I will be staying with Carrie in the house until I get a new one and we can go and live in it" she said "But........."

"Don't worry, it isn't going to be far from Carrie's house. I know you want to stay near your school, cousins and boyfriend" she said giving me a smile and I smile back nodding my head

"I thought I would never see the day you become in high school" she said with tears in her eyes "I wish I could have seen you grown in front of my eyes" she said and I gave her a small smile "We have a lot of pictures, you won't get to miss anything" I said and she hugged me again

She slowly pulled away from me and looked behind me "What's your name young man?" mum asked Chris "I'm Christopher, Bella's boyfriend" he said with a proud smile

I would never get enough of it when he says that I'm his girlfriend

"Carrie told me that you hurt Bella and I know the reason but don't ........" but Chris cut her off

"Don't worry Mrs Collins, I would never hurt her" Chris said "Please call me Elizabeth, I think Mrs Collins became a little uncomfortable name for everyone" she said "Why don't we go back home, Carrie told them that there is a surprise" mum said

"What?" both Chris and I asked at the same time and the same confused expression "No one knows about me except for Carrie and you two" she said with a small smile

"Well that is going to be one hell of a long explanation" Chris said making mum and I laugh

The three of us walked slowly towards the front door and opened it in slow motion like we're some kind of thieves

"BELLA IS THAT YOU?" aunt Carrie yelled from inside "YA" I yelled back with a smile on my face.

Both Chris and I walked inside the living room with aunt Carrie behind us, leaving mum outside so we can surprise them "You know?" aunt Carrie whispered softly "Ya" I answered back with the biggest smile

"Can someone tell us why mum, Bella and Chris are smiling like idiots" Tiana said "No offence mum" Lucy said "Well Tiana you will be grounded for what you just said, but that's not the point" aunt Carrie said

"We came here to tell you that........." Chris paused and looked at me "That mum's back" I said with a smile on my face

Everyone in the room paused and stared at me like I'm some mental person. Tiana slowly walked in front of me and placed her hands on my forehead "What are you doing?" I ask confused "Just checking if you have a fever or something" Tiana answered and I push her away from me

"What do you mean mum's back?" Brandon asked "She means that I'm still alive and not dead" mum said entering from the door

Once again everyone in the room was frozen in their places and having their mouth opened. Tiana rubbed her eyes once, twice, trice but every time she rubs her eyes, her expression get's worst "Okay I'm not crazy, everyone can see what I'm seeing, right?" Tiana asked

"That's impossible" Brandon said "You died in front of my eyes" Brandon said "Bella, Christopher give us some time alone because you already got to know the answer" aunt Carrie said and I nod my head

Both Christopher and I rest down in my bedroom, me resting on the bed stand and Chris resting his head on my lap

"You're mum's hot" Chris said out of no were "What?" I asked looking at him with wide eyes, in seconds Chris burst out laughing "Y..you sh....should have se...seen your face" Chris said and I roll my eyes

I stretch my hand so I can reach the T.V remote that was on my nightstand and switched on the television

Chris said beside me and I rested my head on his chest "What are you going to do now?" he asked softly "I don't know, but mum says that we'll be staying here until we get a house that's not too far from here" I said and sighs

"What's wrong?" I ask raising my head so I can face him "I don't know" he said "It's just that today was full of surprising" he said and I nod my head "But I'm glad" he said and I look at him with confusion

"I'm glad that I was there with you the entire time" he said and I smile "Ya, me too" I said smiling and biting my lower lip at the same time "Seriously now is not the time you do something to turn me on" he groans and I laugh

"Well bad news for you, I was planning on giving you the kiss that you didn't get yesterday but since you don't want it, oh well" I said standing up, right before I could take any step away from him, he pulled my hands making me land on the bed and him on top of me

"Oh I definitely want that kiss" he said and I laugh, he slowly bends down until our lips touched, electricity and firework was everywhere, my hands found it's way to his neck and he found it's way to my waist "I love you" he whispered right before his lips met with my skin

He traced soft kisses up and down my neck, making me weak, he pulled back and we looked each other in the eyes "You have no idea how much I love you Bella" he whispered making me smile

"BELLA, CHRISTOPHER COME DOWN, WE'RE FINISHED WITH OUR TALK" aunt Carrie yelled from downstairs

"Ya but we're not finished here" Chris whispered and I laugh "Come on" I said pulling his hands and walking together down stair hand in hand

"How did the talk go?" I asked mum the moment I entered "It actually went pretty well" Brandon answer with a smile on his face "We decided to go on a small picnic tomorrow" mum said

"Can Cameron come with is?" Brandon asked "Brandon, Christopher, Adam, Seth, Sandra and David will be also joining us" aunt Carrie said

"But right now, we should sit and talk as a family" aunt Carrie said looking mum in the eye "Well, I should get going" Chris said "No, you could stay if you want sweetheart" mum said "No it okay, you want some family time and I've got some stuff to do" Chris said

"I'll see you tomorrow" he said and placed a soft kiss on my lip before leaving

"You love him, don't you?" mum asked and I smile "A lot, mum. I love him a lot" I answered

Mum. Mother. Mom

A word that's important to you, the word that I thought I won't be able to say it. But boy was I wrong

"How about we start with this family talk?" I ask and everyone nods their heads in agreement, with a smile on their face
