What the f**k had just happened? One second, I was yelling at Ashleigh, calling her out for being a f*****g hypocrite, and then the next, she was bolting out the front door like the house was on fire.
And now here I was, standing in the street like an i***t, trying to mentally pick up the pieces and form them into something that made some semblance of sense.
But the more I turned it over in my head, the less sense it made. Because no matter which way I looked at it, I kept looping back to that moment.
