I took a deep breath before popping into the mod voice chat.
"Hey nerds," I said, leaning closer to my mic. "Everyone alive?"
"I think the question is are YOU alive?" Kira, another longtime mod of mine asked. "How's the arm?"
"Ugh," I grumbled. "It's been better. You know... like, before it was broken."
She chuckled a little at that. "Well, I guess that goes without saying. Clearly you love pain though. I mean, was the Speedrun or Suffer stream not enough for you?"
I scoffed. "This is my birthday gift to the world. Anyway... You guys get a chance to read through the briefing yet?"
There was a chorus of agreement, then Wes spoke up. "Just, can you run me through the poll thing? Not sure I'm understanding how that ties in with the 'cake' you mentioned?"
"Ah, the cake," I said, smiling
