The glow of my monitor was the only light in my room now, the sun having dipped below the horizon while I was too lost in the game to notice. My headphones sat snug over my ears, the sound of Don’t Starve Together filling the silence that I wasn’t ready to face.
It had helped—having something to focus on, something to drown everything else out. But now, as the hours stretched on, the exhaustion was creeping in.
