Chapter 4

I hurried out of the study hall when the ringer rang for the mid-day break. “Hello, are you in a hurry?” I shouted at my closest companion, Kiara. “I'll head to the cafeteria because I will be having an early scheduled streaming,” I whispered. “Are you hungry, Kiara?” Kiara stretched as we went down. I was even more bored. “Not really if you're not in a hurry, I am not going to go down. Are you hungry, Alliana?” “Why did you come along? You can go back.” “You're in a hurry, so I'm asking if you're hungry.” “Tch, no! I am just in a hurry, so I will go to my boarding house and do some quick streaming! So hurry up!” “Streaming? What's streaming?” Kiara asked. “My job, you forgot! Tsk, a lot of questions, let's go!” I immediately averted my eyes when we reached the flask. I am trash and cheap, so my bullies see me right away. But they can look because if they touch me, I am going to fight back. “You're popular, ah?” Kiara smiled broadly. “Very, very popular,” I said sarcastically as I found my table in the cafeteria. After we ate, I hurriedly went back to my boarding house. I have scheduled streaming. I am just going to do some quick streams. I put on make-up, a wig, and some flashy clothes. I usually do it in Kiara's house, but this is different because it is scheduled. I need to do it in my tiny but still clean boarding house. I have a lot of viewers. Luckily none of my classmates found any clips or videos of my stream. Well, they focus on western videos. After that, I quickly went back to school, a few blocks away from my boarding house. “You!” The speaker pointed me to the first class I attended. “Stand up!” “Stand up, 'Alliana, you are spacing out,” Kiara whispered next to me. I just sighed. “My name is Alliana,” I said before the class. “Kindly show me well.” On the first day of school, all courses are purely introductory. “That is it?” asked the instructor. “I've no more to say, sir,” I answered and returned to my seat. “Gibberish,” I heard the teacher say furiously. I didn't think this was such an excellent opening to the 'kinfolk of the first day of class. When I arrived, someone broke up with the family. This is my 3rd year in this elite school with shitty students and terror teachers. Moreover, the instructors' presence did not seem to have a good impression. Most don't like the way of looking at 'kinfolk.' “Greetings!” I turned to Kiara because it was her turn to introduce myself. “I'm Kiara.” she held out her hand and waved at us. Duh, only a few can afford this school aside from me, who is a full coverage scholar. So there are only a few students, and we don't need an introduction. It's afternoon break, 3 pm. Last break because our last class is at 7 pm. I should eat a lot so that I won't get hungry. “We should eat together!” Kiara said “Sure,” I forced a smile. “Here we are,” Kiara pointed to the first plateau after entering the table. “Go order food,” she said. I am spacing out and thinking about a lot of things on how to manage my grades so that I would not lose my scholarship. How is my family there? And many more and I just sigh. I just nodded at her then I went straight to the line. I requested a dim sum, cheesecake, and orange juice. Then I lined up in line to approach the cashier. “121 pesos,” said the cashier as he pressed the machine in front of him. I took out the 200 peso bill and handed it to him. “What is that?” “Paid,” I said casually. “We don't have a chance, for now, Miss, because everyone is using cards. Just use your card, you know that credit card you always use?” it began to languish. It began to growl as my forehead furrowed. “Miss, here it is,” said the man's familiar voice. From my side, I saw his arm. It is Deril. “Please use your card if you have no card, then leave,” he said, then looked down at the kinfolk and smiled, smiled sarcastically. I always used Kiara's credit card, but now I forgot it. I just sighed again. It looks like I have no decision because the cashier is not afraid to wait. “Much appreciated.” I laid the card on the plateau. “I'll pay you later- -” I couldn't finish what to say when he struck up the bottom of the plate. All food will jump to be thrown at the associated. From my face, the cheesecake fell to my uniform. Laughter screams, and whispers quickly echoed around me. I could do nothing but close in on the restraint of annoyance. Kiara appeared worriedly as she wiped off the cheesecake smear on my face. “Are you ok?” “Just shut up, and we should go.” I regretted fighting back to him then I stood up first. My friend Kiara helped. I smiled and looked at Deril then I walked away. “Wait, Kiara,” Deril interrupted. I looked annoyed at Kiara that early afternoon. I didn't expect her to approach Deril. “Tch! Let's go, Kiara. Let us eat,” I growled at Kiara. “You're crazy. My friend Alliana is embarrassed!” Kiara shouted at Deril I shrugged. “She played with some unacceptable person, Kiara. That is her karma.” Then she smiled. I was just bored again because Kiara is wasting our time for stupid Deril. I feel so nasty. “We should go, Kiara. I am hungry!” I looked at Deril's far-off again. I sighed with laughter, but the annoyance was there in my face and mind. I couldn't take the bad look away from him right away. The courage to enter an elite school? That's the thing with you. Tch.
