Unedited story part. Chapter Forty-Seven. I had taken a bath, soaking in the water and feeling it heal my bruised, torn flesh. The cool feel of the water caressing me made my worries fade away, my ears sunk down underneath the surface, able to hear the sound of bubbles, waves crashing, tails swishing and whales singing. My glowing eyes shot open to stare up at the ceiling that hung overhead, a single thought crossing my mind. I hoped that the afterlife had an ocean that I could get lost in. The necklace around my neck swayed along with the water whenever I would move, my scaled legs brushing through the substance as if it was a lover that I was rubbing my thighs against. I stood in the tub and stepped over the side, unplugging the drain that seeped down into the sea before I used a towel
