Rebecca had cleaned Al, dressed him and fed him then set him free on the rest of the crew. They enjoyed his maddening ways and laughed at how he would sometimes talk to himself. I had washed myself but dressed in the same red coat as before along with my boots and hat, sitting on a chair near the door to the Captain’s quarters as I watched the sky grow darker overhead.
