MAKING PROGRESS Lucas arrived at Kathy and Todd’s home in the early evening and found Sybil doing laundry. “Can you add my clothes to your pile?” he asked. “You can, but I’m not going to get them right away,” replied Sybil. “I’ve already done two washes, and I have several more to do. It’s the first time I’m doing laundry since that horrible day. It’s a nice feeling to have clean clothes again.” “I also brought a suit for a workshop I’m doing tomorrow morning at St. John’s University,” said Lucas. “Do you expect people to show up?” asked Sybil. “Well, the coordinator hasn’t cancelled it, so I’m going to proceed as if it’s still on.” Kathy had ordered food at a deli, and the four of them had a nice dinner.
