Standing Into Danger
The interview with Jeremiah Howell did not go quite as the Reverend Stephen Short had anticipated. The young man answered his questions frankly, but was very animated when asked what he would like to see become of those who’d abused him. That had drawn fire.
His face alive with anger, he locked eyes with Stephen and said very quietly, “I’d see ’em all in ’ell, sir, even if I joins ’em there.”
