Act II — Chapter 14 14 Tina watched the entire carton of Tropicana Orange Juice disappear down Danny’s gullet. He’d grabbed it off the shelf and nursed it right there in the dairy section, taking multi-gulp swigs and pausing only to come up for air. “You did not just chug that whole thing, did you?” she said. “Oh man, that hit the spot,” Danny sighed. He wiped his mouth with the sleeve of Natalie’s oversized floral-print sweatshirt. He scanned the brightly-lit aisles of the Rite Aid, absent-mindedly handed the empty carton to Tina, and made a bee-line for a promotional display of Clif Bars near the checkout counters. “This thing is sixty ounces!” said Tina, reading the carton’s labeling as she followed. “Mm-hmm,” said Danny dismissively as he tore into a Clif Crunchy Peanut Butter.
